I guess RSSBot went off somewhere to grab some munchies.

Hopefully this will be made public but I doubt it. Bohn said that the lawyers from the Big 12 have been "professional and fairminded"...hmm what could that mean?

The Buffs will be at the Pac-10 Media Days...hopefully Mike Bohn has someone with a "mute" button for Dan Hawkins as he speaks at the Big 12 media days.

I'd never before taken Bohn to be a liar. Or is he just stupid?

The MWC commissioner praised Bohn for being professional and upfront about the MWC's chances of getting CU when it was thought that Baylor would get CU's Pac-16 spot. From reading about him over the last five years, I think we are in good shape. I don't think Bohn is an idiot...his shortcoming is hiring the right coaches.

seems like a pretty important part of the job to me...

I disagree. I think hiring coaches is about 25% of the job, maybe less. A good AD sells the program to boosters, sponsors, the media and the community. Bohn does these things extremely well. The department is in far better shape today than it was the day he took over. It's better financially in spite of the craptacular on-field results. I'm not certain that the move to the Pac is done without Bohn, frankly.

I should add that nobody is complaining about the Bzdelik hire, either. And the Boyle hire appears - at least for now - to be a very good hire as well. Hawkins was a mistake. No doubt about it. However at the time, it was viewed as a fantastic hire. Things didn't work out. That happens. The best thing to do now is to admit the mistake and try again. There's no guarantee that the next guy will be any better than Hawkins was.

I was kidding. It was a "Lawyer Joke."
