Well we keep talking about possible transfers from USC, why not possibly the most important transfer we could get? Mustain seemingly has a ton of talent, but hasn't been able to beat out Sanchez and then got beat out by a true freshman last year. I think it would be hard to argue that Tyler and Cody have more talent than Mustain does, but would he even be effective with having to learn the playbook in the next month and a half or so? He also comes with some prima dona baggage if I recall correctly, his parents are heavily involved with his career or something?

Either way, if he could learn a decent amount of the offense he might be just what we need to get defenses to stop stacking the box and get the ball to our WRs.

I think we already had him....wasn't his name Darrell Scott? Just sayin.

I went with no. Getting a WR to help for one year is fine, bringing in a QB and expecting him to learn enough to earn the starting job over Tyler in a matter of a month is ludacris. If it does happen, and Tyler can't beat this guy for the job after only a month in the program, then TH will never be our QB.

I'm not really sure what I think of it. I'm not overly familiar with Mustain's career to this point other than he did well at Arkansas as a freshman, then transferred when Malzahn was let go, and has been riding the pine at USC ever since. I like Hansen enough to where I don't think we need Mustain.

Assuming this team has established any chemistry at all, bringing in Mustain could destroy that. I know it's kind of a lame argument, but it has to be considered imo.

we should RS Tyler and bring in Mustain. haha, lol

let someone else deal with MM. Mustain will end up at someplace like Tulsa where he will throw for a billion yards.

No. The last thing we need right now is more drama at QB.

:yeahthat:

With the QB problems we've had, a guy with MM's talent is hard to say no to. But I like Hansen and he deserves a shot at the job without bringing in yet another distraction for him.

All the talent in the world won't do a bit of good when the guy running the show is completely incompetent.

Besides, I doubt Mustain brings his lunchpail. He wouldn't fit in here at all.

No. Doesn't sound like a good guy.

But let's talk reality. DH will not take this kid. Do you think he wants to bring in another guy that should be playing ahead of his son? Just makes the argument harder for DH when he chooses to start Cody against CSU.

The Fuskers got that QB transfer from ASU a few seasons ago and they jizzed all over themselves about the kid and he sucked and wasn't he the one that tried to sue EA's NCAA franchise? What a putz.

I would take Mustain at CU. Our most glaring weakness is a QB. As far as getting ready, this would be his 5th year as a QB and he started as a true frosh in SEC - I think he could get ready pretty easily.

By all reports he has been a model citizen at USC, so maybe he has learned.

Mustain, Mitch Mustain...wasn't he expelled for night putting?:fragez:
