Ex-CU quarterback Bernard Jackson is on CSU-Pueblo’s roster

I am trying to figure out how he would be eligible. Does he get a deferment on his eligibility because he was incarcerated?

Hope he gets his act together and does well but I wouldn't be surprised if he is not eligible to play.

It is kinda hard to cheer for the guy now. He once again put CU in the spotlight for criminal activity.

I don't look at it that way, I guess. I look at it as a kid who messed up and is trying to make it right. I'd pull for Katoa if he ever got his act together.

Agree with DBT on this one,

B-Jax was by all accounts a pretty good guy durig his time at CU. My impression is that he got caught up in something that was out of character for him and he ended up paying a pretty big price for it. I give him credit for hopefully getting his act together and making something out of his life.

Gotta love it if he gets his act together personally. He never really got a fair shake here at CU being moved around to different positions and such.

He was totally unprepared to be thrown in the fire like he was DH's first year.

Good luck Bernard

yeah, agree. as i recall BJax had a health situation with his son that was pretty bad. that may have exacerbated some bad decision-making because of health related expenses. and if he can turn this into a college degree, more power to Bernard.

I think his baby had a cancerous eye.

Tyler Polumbus and his family gets my total respect for standing up for BJax. He's the hero in this story.

My fingers are crossed for BJax to do the right thing. Once is a mistake, and a doozy, too. Twice....you know the rest.

Rooting for B-Jax to get his degree and become something great in his life.
