We know all the classics, but it's really getting old. I'm so sick of "kind of" in particular. There is no such thing as kind of. It is or isn't. Why can't he say a player is doing this or that instead of "He's kind of..." It really makes him sound stupid. Then there's this beauty I found from BG Brooks on CUBuffs.com:
With receiver being a position that underwent a considerable upgrade this month, keep an eye on Kyle Cefalo, a 2009 transfer (Oregon State, Wenatchee CC) who continues to show well in camp. Hawkins called him "crafty, quick-footed and a lot faster than people think . . . a smart guy and a baller. He's a guy who can turn a four-yard hitch into an eight-yard play. He's going to turn and get up the field.
Wow! Really! An eight yard play? Get the F*** out of town! What he didn't say was it was 3rd and 12. Honestly, it doesn't surprise me one bit he'd say something like that as it seems his whole offense is the four yard pass. We need players that can take a four (or heaven forbid a 15) yard pass for a touchdown. If that's what Cefalo brings to the table then I hope his playing time is minimal. Let's hope the speed guys are all they appear to be and the big play returns to CU's offense. It's been toooo long since those days were here.
