BoPeep meltdown watch

This is a seriously confusing thread title. We have multiple sheep in meltdown mode.

While I (begrudgingly) admit the guy's proven MUCH more of a winner than CU's HC, I love watching BoBloodPressure implode on occasion... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5475049

Plus, Nebraska only has a population of 1.7 million? Seriously? Nebraska: the Pluto of the 50 states.

I'm also confused here.

Pelini banned the Media just the same as coaches form other schools have. He and his staff have a limited amount of time to work with the players before the season starts. Coaches need all the time they can get without the distractions from an ignorant probing member of the media asking stupid time consuming questions, just to get a story that isn't really worth reading most of the time.

Good for him and any others like him who get the media out of the loop so they can do their job

not until we officially kick them out of our beautiful country.

I'm all for that. What does it take, constitutional amendment?

Please. "Probing member of the media asking questions..." And here I thought that was their job.

Damn good point.

It may be their job. But the way I see it, a Coach does not need to let them in his house to pimp information from him, his staff or his players. The news media should get on with doing more real reporting. I get tired of reading most of the crap they write. It's about as bad as the crap I put into print, and I don't even get paid for it. Maybe I should!

Good Luck in the 12-Pac!

Like it or not, the sport would be nowhere without the media pimping info. Bo would be bagging groceries, Hawkins pumping gas.

Asking if it will be a challenge to replace Suh is considered "going negative" by Nebraska media standards. Not sure exactly what happened and don't really care. No denying that Bo is thin skinned and has a short fuse, though.

Sean Fischer broke his leg at practice and some dipstick leaked it to the media BEFORE his parents could be notified. Not cool.

Bo is way in the right here, just as Plati was.

I don't think everyone is entitled to watch practice, especially when posted rules are broken.

This has nothing to do with what you posted.

It has everything to do with injury leaks and people posting specifics regarding schemes and personnel on message boards.

Not so fast my friend, you still have one more year of us, and we're not done with you by a damned sight

True!

But the way "yall" sound around here, the Buffs and their fans have given up on Hawkins, the Buffs, and the 2010 season already.

Good Luck in the 12-Pac!

I'm not convinced that the media are able to save Coach Hawkins from this fate.

Agreed.

I'm not saying Bo doesn't have a point. I just get a kick out of watching him freak out. Guy is a serious control freak. A winner, no doubt, but jeez...

"I am Bo Pelini's aneurism".

Seems like I heard that line in a movie somewhere.

Pelini is a winner, a very good coach. CU had a chance to get him, but he was too rough around the edges for the CU administration. CU wanted more of a showman, a salesman, a media face man - well, we got him. Now he can't open his mouth anymore.

Hawkins couldn't carry Pilini's jockstrap, much less wear it. Pelini has absolutey nothing in common with Hawkins.

Pelini is a doosh...I just watched last year's Big 12 championship.....what a boob.

He must be doing something right. He has you *#$$ed off at him! I'll take him over most of the coaches in the business today.

One thing for sure he is a winner and that Sir, will be revealed to you in the coming weeks and months.

So far, so good for you. We will see how it ends up for Fusker nation. Good luck to you as well....even though, my personal feeling is your move to the Big 10 is a major mistake.....time will tell.

At least he laughs about it. He told a Recruit that how he is in this recruiting interview and how he is on the filed and in practice is 2 entierly different things. He said he was just a little competetive. The recruit said he understated it a little.

I couldn't agree more. But that's not the point. Not every thread here has to turn on Hawkins.

Absolutely. Clearly some kids want that kind of a coach, and it's pretty hard to argue with the results, so far. BoP also seems to understand he's gotta control himself a little better, as well. But you gotta admit he throws a fit about as well as anybody in contemporary sports. Those eyes popping out of his head... classic. And you can practically feel the spit flying. Yuck.

Pelini's OU DB's got 55 put on them by Matt Leinart.

guy ain't god.
His defense won a national championship at LSU, and I can guarantee you Miles had little do with it. When he left to go to Neb, the D
went to **it until they got Chavis from Tennessee. He could be our head coach now if they had offered him the job instead of Jackoff. Everybody has a bad day - I don't know any CU fan who would rather have Hawkins than Bo, but that's not saying much. CU football will be back - we just need to do some house cleaning.
