I have to admit that there's a part of me that hopes Hawk does start Cody. I would love to see what happens. The spectacle of it would be worth the price of admission. I could then completely forget any hopes of winning the game, and simply concentrate on which brand of rental truck I should park on Hawk's lawn that evening.

I fear for my radio and family's safety if he trots on the field. You are sick.

Make sure to use blue spray paint on the banner saying "Hey Bohn, Powder Blue!"

Hawkins is over his head about how to run a football team in a stronger league. I sense that he's given up here. So, I think he will start Cody, one last **** you to the fans before he's ****canned..

I just fear the jackasses boing cvody on senior day... that would be worst moment in program history and I fear some jackasses in the student section(no one here) will do it... It isn't codys fault...its dan's and as fair as I'm concerned cody is and will always be a great buff because he gave evrything he had to this program sadly for us and him not enough physical ability...

Yep. That would be really bad but it will probably happen.

Man, this is like Stockholm Syndrome, Boulder style. Call it "Folsom Syndrome" I suppose?

I totally see a game this year with Cody starting. Just the fact that this is even still remotely a question leads me to think this way. I still think he'll play his son more just so he can lock away all those QB school records.

I feel really bad for Tyler.

I think he's already put the INT record way out of reach.:puke:

^^^This. I think TH would flourish at QB if he was just given the same "long leash" and chances CH has had. As it it stands, he has had the rug pulled from beneath him his entire career at CU.

I won't be surprised if we see CH start the 2nd half against the Lammies. Hope I'm wrong. Just seems predictable.

IMO, DH will play CH as much as he can this year. I see three scenarios where CH goes in: one, TH plays poorly for a couple of series, two, the team is on the road and three, game plans that call for rotation (because each player brings something different to the table, fifth year sr., expereince or any other justification DH can come up with). I suspect TH will get a bunch of starts, but will have a short leash, or have to rotate. I really hope I am wrong, but unless TH has regressed, and by all reports he hasn't, he was a markedly better QB by the aTm game last year. The only reason the QB "competition" remains open is because of the personalities. TH is not a wrld beater, but in my book, he give the Buffs a MUCH better chance to win. JMO.

It's kind of like watching a hurricane bearing down on some poor coastal community while you're safe and dry in your living room. You feel bad for the folks affected, but you're secretly riveted by the drama of the situation, and you can't wait to see more. That's what I'll be like if Cody starts. I'll be feeling bad for the rest of the team, the fans, the AD, etc. However, there's a part of me that will relish the uber-meltdown that would surely follow. Pure entertainment.

Fair point. I can admit to doing that when hurricanes hit the shore.

At least if CU starts off bad and this happens, there will be a gory-hilarious aspect to the season -- a season that would already be lost by that point.

I have to admit, this would be pretty damm funny in a sick sort of way. That's all you could do at that point is laugh if this were to happen.

:yeahthat:

I expect the same. Danny Boy will find a way to get Cody in there and he will simultaneously ruin TH's confidence. It's hard to be confident when one bad series can get you yanked.

:lalala: Cody haters, Cody haters, Cody haters!! :lalala:

Exactly the opposite, my good man. I'm saying there's a little part of me that wants Cody to start. The ensuing armageddon would be entertaining. Plus, I could give up any hope of a winning season that way. Far less stress. Also, I could be content in the certainty that Hawkins would be fired. It's all good.

The bolded part would be the only positive in all this. Assuming they switch QB's regularly. But ya you're right, everyone loves a train wreck.

Watching CU football is like watching the high speed car chase live on the news. You publicly hope the guy pulls over ending the chase before anyone gets hurt, but secretly hope the guy makes the 100 mph dash for freedom that ends in huge crash and every member of the police department going Rodney King on the suspect.

I'm just giddy over having 1 hr. 8 minutes and 30 seconds until the weekend.

Give me an "F"
Give me an "A"
Give me an "I"
Give me an "L"

WHATS THAT SPELL?

I hope you're wrong because I can totally see those scenarios unfolding. I'm really hoping somehow Hawk doesn't get to have a say in the situation and the players and coaches can decide who the QB is because it seems like all of the players already accept Tyler as the starter.

the reality likely is

that TH is not way better than CH. Probably a little, but not a lot. After them, you have a freshman. CH has been a great Buff - he's always played with heart, and big, within his limits. Unless TH totally bloosoms, CH wll see the field several times. IMO, any student or other "fan" who boos him, is an ignorant loser.

Go Buffs!
