We're getting a guarantee of $1.4 million plus other reports have ESPN picking it up as a national game, so we'll get that broadcast revenue on top.

September 24th is the game date. That's currently the Fresno State home game on our 2011 schedule. I don't know if this means that the Pac-12 in 2011 is a done deal, but it definitely means things are shuffling around and it looks good for making that happen.

Edit: I just found the Fresno State 2011 Schedule and they had an open date on September 17th when we were scheduled to play Cal. My guess is that we're moving Fresno up a week in order to fit into Ohio State's open date.

Sounds good

You know, Columbus is a pretty cool city. I was there a few years ago and it really surprised me how nice it is.

Damn. talk about a bad ass year. New Pac12 schedule plus OSU? wowowowowowow.

Thought: maybe we are canceling the Fresno game because we obviously no longer need presence on the west coast? And replacing it with some other, southern type school?

And let's face it. A game in The Horseshoe would be epic.

Does the visiting team get money from television revenue?

I always thought home team got all television revenue from non-conference football games. (Thus the reason this year's CSU game is shown on whatever crap channel the Mountain West is associated with.)

ESPN paid us for going to Toledo last year.

One of the great all-time CU wins: 1971 in Columbus over then #6 Ohio State. 40 years later....

FWIW, our schedule appears to be updated now, and it shows Fresno State on October 8th now.

OSU is notoriously stingy with their allotment of tickets to visiting teams...do yall think there will be a large contingent of CU fans that go out there for the game?

Somewhat depends on how we do this season. But if we go bowling and are heading into the Pac-12 in 2011 with some momentum, I could see us needing 10,000 tickets in order to satisfy demand. Definitely over 5,000.

According to the CUBuffs.com report, CU will get $1.4M, and more if the game is televised.

**** yeah CU fans will go. You should have seen the crowd in Morgantown - freekin MORGANTOWN! You bet your sweet bippy Buff fans will travel to Columbus!

As cool as this is....would be pretty hard to convince the wife to switch from beautiful Hawaii to the middle of Ohio....think i'll be just fine with the mai tais and football

But I see the point - how many tickets will OSU allot to CU? That would greatly affect the number of CU fans that travel to this game. I think that Michigan only gave CU an allotment of 1500 tickets and that stadium is even a bit bigger than the 'Shoe.

They were punished for that.

Do you think Colorado scheduled this as their '13th' game ? One of the only times where the NCAA allows a 13th game since CU travels to Hawaii

I think I'm going to go to this game. I haven't been to too many opposing stadiums (none in the Big 12) except the Big 12 championship games, a few bowl games and the USC and UCLA games.
