Tailgating in Lot D at Invesco - how much room do you have?

Math - how does it work?

I'm trying to figure out how much of our typical tailgate stuff we should bring on Saturday, and the answer to that hinges on how much space we will have.

Is it just regular parking lot kind of space where you have your car and the ~6 feet or so behind it and that's it, or if you get there when they open can you get a little more room?

We have a few tables, chairs, a 10x10 canopy, tailgate toss game, etc. Need to plan for space so I can menu plan accordingly.

Best bet is to get there early, and set up along the back side of the parking lot. This should hopefully get you a little more space. Unfortunately, the lots are pretty small, and there's not a lot of space to spread out. It's pretty cramped.

That's pretty much what I thought. Is it even worth bringing a 10x10 canopy? I don't know that I would have room to put it up anywhere.

I would think that if you got there early enough you could set it up right behind your car and the people who end up parking next to you will just deal with it. Not everyone has a canopy, so some will be able to fit.

Plus, once the lot fills up, you can set up your canopy wherever you want to.

Lot E has a grassy area that runs along the West side. That's where I *hope* to set up.

Anyone know if there are any grassy areas along the edge of lot D? I've never been there.

Doesn't look like it on google.

edit: actually, yes, it looks like there is a grassy area along the East side of that lot. The North side of the lot bumps up against the walkway into the stadium, but there may be some good spots there, too.

if you can grab lot I, that is my absolute favorite lot, there is a sidewalk area that runs on the south side that you can back up to and set up all kinds of stuff.
