'Allbuffs is their main forum, from what I hear'

ahhhh......it always warms my heart when a thread is titled after my humble post....LOL.. wazzzuuppp Buffs.... see ya on Saturday....let's make it a great game.....

I find it strange that people here are concerned about being better than netbuffs. AB's website is much better, the usability of the forum is better and I think the people here are nicer, so you guys have nothing to worry about.

NB does have some great entertainment value.

I look at it like there are 4 types of CU sites:

1. News Sites (Official cubuffs.com site, Buffzone, etc.)
2. Pay Sites (Rivals, Scout, ESPN Insider, etc.)
3. Blogger Sites (CUatTheGame, Ralphie Report, etc.)
4. Fan Message Boards (AllBuffs, Netbuffs, etc.)

NB is the #2 site (formerly #1) in our category. I think we're all glad they are there and see them as a valuable part of our Buff internet community. But of course they're going to be the measuring stick for AB as we work to make this site the far and away best in our category.

I have spent some time on their board this morning reading what they have posted. In general they are pretty clueless about CU. Many think that Nevada (yes that Nevada of WAC and soon to be MWC infamy) has better talent than CU. They are deeply in love with their granted very talented freshman WR after he torched a bunch of mid-major level DBs. They have completely missed on Hawkins ineptitude as a coach other than to correctly note that he has won virtually nothing on the road.

Of course fan opinion is rarely consistent with that of the coaches and players but if Cal comes into this game thinking that they have another Nevada in front of them even Hawkins pathetic coaching may not save them. Cal is very similar to CU in that they have some very good players mixed in with some very average players, overall I would put CUs talent level above that of Cal. Their big advantage is having a coaching staff that has a clue and playing at home.

In general however reading their site gives another strong indication of why I am excited about the move to the PAC. Even though they are not familiar with CU and thus the criticism above, their post completely lack the idiotic team worship of some of our Big XII sites and it seems that their posters are intelligent, educated individuals capable of thinking at an adult level placing them well ahead of most of the posters on the sites of our current league teams.
