After today's performance, I don't think he'll listen to me and give Hawkins a contract extension.

But it should be just the opposite.

If there's one thing that was made clear by today's performance, it's that a team just can't play at its best when it isn't 100% confident in the long-term contract status of its head coach. Even the assistant coaches are compromised as they find their heads filled with worry over Dan Hawkins' future when they should be game planning, coaching up players, or making in-game adjustments.

It's really a shame and I let Mike know it. The biggest thing he could have done as an AD to help the football team win this year was to extend Hawkins. His failure cost us a win today. Hopefully he wakes up and gets the new contract done before the Hawaii game.

You never go full ****tard, Nik... :smile2:

Did Coach Hawkings hijack Buffnik's account???...Sorry dude but I disagreee 100% with everything you just posted! Hawk is an embarrassment. His guys suck and he sucks too. This team has no heart! Ban me if you want but this was a disgrace to the University of Colorado. Hawkins should be sent packing tonight!

Well done.

At the very least, I think we are all pretty good about handling this crappy situation with humor. Keep it up guys.

He won't read it yet... I sat 2 rows behind him... He was not happy.. He will be home soon and work on that extension.

I wish I had any humor left fellas, this is just pathetic. Yeah alot of teams get beat shooting themselves in the foot 52-7. Hawk, you cant be ****ing serious.

here's my e-mail

sent to Bohn, Benson, DiSteff, the Regents---

I've been a season ticket holder since I graduated from CU in 1990. Even before I attended CU I went to games when I was in Jr & Sr High in Boulder. I suffered through Fairbanks and was there for Coach Mac and the peak of Colorado football. I weathered the storm when Barnett stuck his foot in his mouth and have patiently waited for Hawkins to bring the program back. After what we all just witnessed this afternoon I think any CU fan can't feel any more embarrassed than they do now. What a disgrace. I feel for you Mike as I know you have worked so hard to get alumni out West on board as CU begins their journey in the PAC 12. All of the momentum that you have helped build was just crushed today.

A little over eight days ago there was an article in the Denver Post mentioning that Coach Bill McCartney is more than willing to come back into coaching. Seems that his plan is to bring John Embree
in as Offensive Coordinator and groom him as his successor in two to three years. Mike, you must take this into consideration. McCartney would bring instant credibility to CU football and I guarantee that you would not only see some cash donations out of my wallet but also from many CU fans who lately have jumped off the bandwagon. Mac knows what it takes to be a winner in Boulder and would right the ship. I fear that if Hawkins isn't let go before this season is through you may only see 30K fans at the Iowa St and Kansas St games. Heck... the product on the field right now is not fun to watch & I'm not sure I want to spend an additional $10-$15 for parking and $15 for a hot dog and a couple of sodas. I regret that if Hawkins isn't let go you will lose a 20 year season ticket holder. It hurts me to even have to type this.

The University of Colorado is a special place that can't be duplicated. There's no reason that CU can't be a top 20 football program as there are so many positive things going for it. I urge you to
make a move and bring Mac back. You won't regret it.

Sincerely,

XXXXXX

My gut is hawk gets this year as a whole... for cody to graduate... I think bhawk is gone I think he knows he's gone...but he's going out his way... and I wonder if the deal brokered was let him coach codys seinor year and he would resign if he didn't turn it around

We've all had several months of practice. Today was just a culmination of what most of us have been expecting. Hawaii is going to put up 50 next week. At least my tickets will be cheap.

I sent an email to Bohn, Distefeno, and Benson... well at least I think I did. I sent it during the 4th quarter, and it was a simple one liner

How much longer do I have to watch this nightmare?

No response yet
