Will Hawaii finally be THE GAME?

...that ends Hawk's reign of ineptitude?

If (more likely, when) Hawk drops another steaming pile of crap on Folsom next Saturday, then points at it and says, "That's not my fault," will the administration finally pull the trigger??

I wonder if that's the time, as the next week is a bye and that would give time for the interim (Cabral?) two weeks to try and regroup in instill a little pride back into the players.

The Bleacher Report (Tom Perry) wrote it might be Texas Tech that would be the game, but I'm crossing my fingers for next week.

The crowd is gonna turn ugly quick in this one. It's a friggin' shame it'll be Alfred Williams Day-- Big Al deserves so much better. ALL of the former players deserve better, especially at the Georgia game!

Timing couldn't have been worse for Georgia - they will be a pissed off team after losing to SC. On the other hand Richt could interview for the CU job while he's in Boulder. Just kidding!

As bad as this has been, I just can't get my hands around anyone pulling against the Buffs.

i watched good parts of both hawaii games, I don't see how we win his one. Hawaii can move the ball fairly effortlessly. Granted they did steal that army game yesterday but a win is a win. Looking at the schedule it is hard to find many wins. ISU and KSU look about it.

I'm with you on that... except in this case. (Potentially.) If I learn that it's a certainty a Buffs loss equals Hawkins fired during the bye week, then I'll be rooting for Hawai'i on Saturday. And I feel no shame in that.

You feel no shame in hopint the Buffs lose? OK. I just don't get that. But go ahead. Cheer for good old Hawaii.

I think he was rooting for the Hawaii game being the one he is fired after.... not exactly rooting for Hawaii...

I will root for the Buffs unless and until it becomes apparent they are going to lose. Then, I will root for Hawaii to score 80.

I cannot root against the Buffs under any circumstances, but this will not be THE GAME. There will never be THE GAME, Hawkins has proven that for the past 4 years.

This is exactly how I felt saturday, I was thinking something like 84-3 might get DH fired after the game.

I can't pull against the buffs ever, but I am ready for this assclown to be gone! The guy knows nothing abotu football. Even at Boise state he never really did much. He won a bunch of games at home against weak ass teams. This is Fairbanks all over again!

As always, I'll be pulling hard for the Buffs on Saturday. But watching the same mistakes, errors, and general lack of preparation game after game after game, one of these games has to be the straw that breaks the camel's (or buffalo's) back. If all of these issues rear their heads yet again on Saturday, I think the trigger may finally be pulled...

I'm telling you, the decission to drop the axe has more to do with off field events relating to exiting the B12 than the performance on the field. Hawkins will be evaluated after the season is over.

Well, after the Cal debacle, we could say the season is over...

But I hear what you're saying, too.

While I am proud of CU's long heritage of tough scheduling, we should have dialed it back once Hawk showed that he sucked. I mean, when you are a BCS school and you are potentially dropping 3 out of every 4 non-conference games, its time to lighten the load. CSU is a given, then play a 1-AA school each year (not Montana St though), and then take a tour through the WAC, MAC or C-USA each year. Finish it with one BCS school like Minnesota or Ole Miss.

Not only are we playing more BCS schools in OOC than most other BCS schools, but we are playing the top dawgs. That only pays off when you are competitive. We are not competitive.
