Kyle Ringo on twitter from today´s presser

Dan Hawkins said he did consider putting Cody Hawkins in the game at quarterback at Cal but opted to stay with Hansen. about 3 hours ago via web

Dan Hawkins said center Shawn Daniels is has a ligament tear in his foot and will have surgery. He is likely out for the season about 3 hours ago via web

CU loses it's nickel back for the second week in a row. Travis Sandersfeld suffered a fractured tibia against Cal. about 3 hours ago via web

So we lose a nickle back each of the first two weeks, then play Hawaii week three???

Yep, that sounds about right.... :sad1:

I considered them pulling Tyler as well. I was kind of pulling for Hirshman.

i actually would not have minded seeing Cody in the second half. gotta try something. but, i was a little impressed they stuck with TH

Put Cody in! Honestly, who cares at this point? What one bad game will do to you. If Hawk marched Cody out onto the field against CSU, I'd have a meltdown, but if he tosses him out there vs Hawaii I really don't think I'd even be mad.

Cody couldn't have made even a little bit of difference with the way the OL was playing. I would just as soon let TH get the reps - that game was gone by halftime anyway.

As I said during the game chat, if Dan loves Cody there was no chance Cody was seeing the field the way that game was going...

right, the other side of playing TH all 2nd half is injury. if it's over, it's over. get your #1 guy on the bench.

I don't think it really matters who plays QB.
I realize that this is most certainly not the time to be defending Hawk in any sort of way, but that is pretty much what he was saying last year.

That tidbit aside, it's time to pull out the shotgun.

My statement was really a reference to quality issues mostly on the side lines. We already ruined a 5* RB. How do you think Tebow would do out there?

As long as Hirschman does not see the field this year, Danny can rotate the QBs all he wants.

So orms is done, sandersfeld is out, who plays nickel now? Olatoye? Vigo? Smith? Don't say mahnke...

Tyler should have been pulled after we scored. He was hurt and had nothing left to play for. I hate how hawk leaves startesr in when we are getting blown out.

Yeah, I'll go along with that. Like I said, I like TH getting all the reps he can - he needs them, never having had a chance to play a full season yet. But it's not worth getting him hurt in a meaningless situation...

Every game is going to be meaningless. This team is not going to make any run through conference play, and honestly we will be lucky to win 3 games the rest of the season. We will not need to worry about anyone getting hurt prior to a bowl game.

At this point it does not matter who plays as long as div II Dan does not start burning everyone's red shirts. The new coach is gonna need all the available bodies possible to turn this crap pile around.

So Tyler looked bad.... could be because he was getting sacked 5+ times and hurried almost every play (thanks "veteran" line). How on earth do you think putting in an undersized, weak armed and immobile QB would help? Put in Cody and I think Hawk needs to be fired on the spot.
