Flagship University, CU coming off a 3-9 record and a 52-7 pasting at the hands of an average Cal team. Recruiting is in the tank, the coach is likely to be fired but he should have been fired last year.

Second University, CSU has now lost 11 in a row after going 3-9 last year including a pure luck win against a FCS school on a fluke fumble. This while playing in a conference with a number of bad teams. Hasn't scored a touchdown yet this year and lost last game 51-6.

Pro team, the Broncos won one playoff game in a decade and finished last season 2-8, traded away stars on offense and best D player out for season injured. Young coach often looks clueless.

Only redeming team is more of a national team than a Colorado team, AFA won two in a row but gets to go play OU at Norman, been nice to see you guys, now for reality.

Let me see...........mmmmmmmmmmm.........No, I can't think of any that suck more.

The state of Kansas is only in slightly better shape than the state of Colorado. The state of New Mexico has got to be worse than the state of Colorado. Look at the state of Washington but Eastern Washington is a good FCS school and Central Washington is a good D2 program. Look at the state of Mississippi as well.

The best conculsion is that Colorado isn't the only state reeling in football.

That's what is SO frustrating right now. This would be the perfect time for CU to be good with all the pro teams in Denver sucking, CSU business as usual, USC down and a move to the Pac 10. If CU was worth a damn right now, they could easily sway a ton of people in Colorado to get behind the team and not have to rely on just CU alumni....something that is not the case right now. The Broncos suck, Carmello wants out, and the Rockies and Avs are meh. CU could leap over these teams and be a solid second choice behind the Broncos and own every Saturday from August through December. The whole state could get behind this team but this golden opportunity has pretty much passed us by.

UNM is terrible but that's not highly unusual, NMSU same thing and they are getting better. Washington has been bad but again is getting better, WSU has been bad a long time but at least has scored some touchdowns and the Seahawks are being picked by some to win their division.

Kansas may be as bad but KU just beat a ranked team (after losing to a FCS team) and KSU is 2-0. We are still worse right now.

If I had to make a guess at a state, Illinois has to be up there. I can't think of any of their college football teams doing anything, their pro team has Jay ****ing Cutler, and of corse they have the cubs. They do have the Blackhawks, but we have the Rox.

Could be. Illinois beat a MVC team pretty good and lost to Mizzou, Northwestern is 2-0 with a win over Vandy. Over an extended time it is amazing how bad these schools have been even with Big X money but they are okay now, better than CU and CSU combined. The Bears are certainly worse than the Broncos almost losing to the Lions this week.

Eh?

Im more pissed off that folks seem to be reluctant to do something about it. It's like we are content to be everybody's bitch.

If you have to eliminate any states that don't have an NFL team... then no. We're at the bottom of the list.

In general, can anyone think of a state that sucks more than Nebraska....mmmmmmmm.......nope it pretty much sucks the most. Fuk u surveyor

Maine? Vermont, possibly? New Hampshire? That's about it.

Maybe South Dakota, but they did beat Minnesota so maybe not.

Just an FYI...you might want to use the EDIT feature a little more judiciously in the future. Chicago?? Maybe you are in a drunken state?

That's not even most of the fail there. Thread title is "Is their another state that sucks as bad in football as Colorado right now?"

The cubs? The Blackhawks? The Rox?

LOL, wut?

Washington has to be worse than Colorado. They have two BCS teams that are cellar dwellers. We only have one, and at least AFA props us up a bit. And as much as I love hating on the Broncos, the Seahawks have been worse of late, racking up a 9-23 record over the past two seasons. Plus, their uniforms guzzle manjuice.

If not for the Colts, the state of Indiana would be up there with ND, Purdue and Indiana (perpetually) all being down. Though they do have Ball State, which is nuts.

the Seahawks are being picked by some to win their division.

The Seahawks aren´t tipped to win the NFC West by some because they are any good, but rather because their division is a cripple fight that could be won with a .500 record.

What´s so meh about the Avs? In Stastny, Stewart and Duchene they have 3 young stars at the beginning of their careers some other teams would give their right leg for. They have a young squad with lots of promise.

The topic of thread is: "Is their another state that sucks as bad in football as Colorado right now?"

It has nothing to do with how bad the State of Nebraska sucks. A loving neg rep sent your way for being a dumb ***** and off topic. :congrats:

Good Luck in the 12-Pac!

Fixed. Sorry for the brain fart

You might want to talk with Lobo fans...they will disagree that the Lobos being terrible more often than not. It wasn't that long ago that the Lobos always finished in the top half of the MWC. The Lobos might not be as sexy as the likes of Utah, TCU, and BYU but they won games under Rocky Long.

WSU played good football last decade...didn't they whip the Buffs in Boulder during that time?

We do have a rough enough time without you pointing it out. But then we do have a pretty good high school team

it would have been easy to pick on the Dakotas, but they just handled Kansas and Minnesota, so yup we are the worst.

At least you're not New Mexico!

You want worse than Colorado? I submit New Mexico for that honor:

UNM, flagship university for the state, gets hammered 72-0 at home against Oregon. Their head coach beats up his assistant coaches. They haven't been to a bowl since 2007 (and I think that was the New Mexico bowl so it doesn't really count).

NMSU is even worse, a perennial doormat in the WAC.

No pro sports to speak of, but that's probably for the best.

Why is it that you Broncos fans hate Cutler again? McDaniels was the one who wanted him gone, not the other way around. And as he's proven, McD is an idiot. So I give the edge to Cutler in that spat.

Besides, what Elway and Eli did on draft day was way more prima donna than anything Cutler ever did. But alas, Elway is a hero in this town.
