Give Me A Reason Hawk Shouldn't Be Fired Right Now

Dan Hawkins makes kick ass shadow puppets.

nope- firing him now will save the university money

Might salvage ticket sales for November games w/Iowa St & ksu
If Mac takes over donations will go through the roof.

not quite sure the folks at CU understand that...I really don't think they grasp it.

According to the Colbert Report, it's the beginning of Yim Kippur. Maybe they are waiting for their call of atonement from Hawk before they can him.

Only reason I can think of.

I'm convinced the hold-up has to do with settling on the terms of the B12 exit. It's a number between $6M and $22M. And the Pac-10 network deal is a number between $14-$20M.

That's a lot of volatility to plan around. If CU knew it could get out of the B12 on the cheap, and reap the high end of a new Pac-10 deal, or if CU decided to stick around the B12, it'd be easier to drop the hatchet.

But the vindictive Beebe boys might demand 80% of 2010 and 2011 revenue, and the Pac-10 might only bring CU a similar number they make now. CU might end up upside down on the conference deal for a few years no matter who is coach.

The regents are going to need a big shove to approve a mid-season buy-out with everything else going on.

Because as long as we suck our games get relegated to FCS. And as long as we're on FCS, Samantha (ass of) Steele will be gracing the sidelines at Folsom.

everyone knows this. everyone! but I fear we are in a state of analysis paralysis!! **** or get of the ****ing pot

Agree...but I actually overheard him say it. That makes it pretty much fact to me since I can't trust the rest of you internet sCUm.

Who would Dave Plati abuse if we fired Dan Hawkins? There wouldn't be any more pissed off fans to insult.

None.

Its embarrassing our program didn't make the change last November. We just threw away a year. Ridiculous.

That changes my entire perspective on Hawk. Extend immediately!

So the move to the Pac-10 and the money it is going to cost are going to be next offseason's reasons for retaining Hawkins for 2011? Looking forward to it.
