Great job by B-Lock today

I'd been very critical of him. But he came to play today. Hit the hole with authority and kept fighting for extra yards.

Really great to see. He definitely gets one of my game balls.

I take back all the trash talk I threw his way....

With two explosive backs, this offense could actually be pretty good -- so long as the O-Line shows up again.

He did have a nice game, thought all 3 backs were pretty good. When is the last time we had 2 backs over 100 in the same game? I would guess it has been awhile.

B-lock was a beast and was the compliment we've needed for Speedy for quite some time now....As much as I like Speedy, he's not an every down back and would succeed that much more if we could get B-Lock to step in and run north to south with some authority like he did yesterday

This likely means we won't see him on the field again for the next several games. Can't get too high, must maintain the valleys, or some **** like that.

He was by far the best back on the field today. Nice to see him start running North and South and hit holes. Hopefully this is the start of a two headed running beast for us. He looked very fast and strong yesterday. Very happy for him

Last time a pair of CU backs ran for over 100...Chris Brown & Bobbie Purify. 2001 against Iowa State.

I watched Georgia yesterday and they are beatable but they are talented. Gotta step it up 100% to get that game.

I was very impressed with him. He ran hard and always got an extra couple of yards when being tackled. I think he's our best back atm. Speedy just dances too much and doesn't bounce off tacklers like he used to.

I noticed in the Cal game that Speedy was missing holes due to lack of patience and he was consistently trying to cut-back and jitterbug instead of running it up in there North-South. Without the benefit of tape, it looked the same way to me and everyone in my section was saying the same thing by halftime. We were imploring Kiesau to run it up the gut and to find a RB who would run it straight up there with a burst. Hagan was screaming about this same thing on at least 2 occassions and had a fit on the play Speedy fumbled on, because he had 8 yards if he runs up-field instead of towards the sideline. Believe it or not, there was room to run the ball vs. Cal that we did not take advantage of I(Kiesau didn't push it and Speedy wasn't giving it a chance).

BLock did JUST that and he looked totally different than I've seen him before. Speedy just got some competition and he will have to run North-South if he wants the majority of carries imo.

I'm not picking on Speedy, because I think he is conditioned to find yards on his own. He's done it solo for a few years now, but it's time to trust the O-Line.

Speedy = besst back when there is no hole and he has to make magic up.
Block sure looks better when there is a crease.

I thought they both went over 100 in 62-36.

Sho' nuff.
RUSHING-C.Brown 24-198, Purify 20-154

Correction: Leash had it right. ISU in 2002 was the last time prior to Hawaii when CU had a pair of backs rush for over 100.

That pretty much takes the pressure off B-Lock to have a 6TD day against UGA. Following the 2002 ISU game, CU did rush for 253 yards and beat Nebraska 28-13 to win the B12 north.
