Just a quick footnote to Saturday's game, but I heard this from the dad of a CU player today.
After the game, said dad met his son outside the locker room at Dal Ward and took him to get some dinner (in addition to the pizza the players were given - which he said wasn't going to be near enough.)
They went to a take out place in the 29th and Arapahoe center and ordered.
While waiting for their food, a large group of noisy CU students came in and got in line, still wearing CU shirts and excited over the win. The students spontaneously and enthusiastically burst into the CU fight song while in line.
The CU player (a low-key individual who was in street clothes - no CU logos) quietly asked his dad if the students recognized him, and the dad said no - but he could say one word and they'd figure it out. The player just smiled and shook his head.
They got their food and left, the player still grinning over the fight song and that nobody recognized him.
Just thought it was a cool story.
