They are currently 1-2 (0-2 in the SEC).

A win over Mississippi State and they can consider themselves back in the SEC East race. Maybe they look ahead to the rivalry game with Tennessee the week after CU? But maybe they carry momentum into Folsom after a night win in a noisier stadium?

A loss versus Mississippi State and at least 1 of UGA's preseason goals (conference title) is ended. Richt would be firmly on the hot seat. Maybe they bust out with a good performance if their backs are against the wall? But maybe the team comes apart instead of rallying together?

Georgia win. I will be worried if MSU wins. I am expecting UGA to beat MSU, then the buffs to beat Georgia. And everyone will think it will be a shocker that CU beats UGA, but in reality, it really wont be. The reality will be the next week when Mizzou stomps us.

A UGA lose and they come into Boulder and destroy CU. Which in the long run is better for CU.

I'm going off the beaten path here. Best for CU if UGA loses. Then they come in here and Hawk pulls a shocker of a win. Richt gets fired because of the poor season. Hawk also get fired 'cause we know he won't survive and then we can hire Richt as our new HC

I'd rather they lose so their confidence is really low. Then they have to travel across the country, then we hit them with the awesome new hurry up attack (installed at halftime) and bam we win.

No way the Buffs win if UGA loses. That program has too much pride. They'd come into Boulder looking to take no prisoners.

Much better if UGA wins. They breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to an easy game before going home to play Tennessee.

Go Dawgs!

No we DO NOT want Richt!!! He is not much better than Hawk!

In college football, you always want your opponents to have the best record possible when you play them

Are you serious? Do you really think Goergia is going to lose to CU? Richt wouldn't be allowed back in Athens. They would tar and feather his ass and put him on a Greyhound bus.

From Richt's POV: "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!"

I've been listening to a lot of Rivals radio on XM lately and there was a big piece on UGA last week. Most experts seem to think Richt is safe this year assuming he wins more than 3 games. Next year will def be a hot seat year for him if he loses to the likes of us, but look at their losses this year - a South Carolina team that could take the SEC east and a Top 10 Arkansas team who's prime for a BCS run and a heisman candidate. And when they played their creampuff teams, they hung big numbers on the scoreboard (which every good team should do, rather than struggle against the likes of CSU and UH like we did)

I think UGA fans have high expectations but they're tempered a bit this year considering they're working with a freshman QB, have had their star WR out for the first 4 games and have a lean defense...

Nonetheless, I think if they win at MSU, then they look at CU like an automatic win while preparing for Tenn - gives us a better chance to sneak up on them, and win close, a la WUV 2 years ago
