The SEC Chant...

NashBuff

CSU Knob-Slobberer
I wonder if CU fans will be hearing that chant...shall we respond with a Pac 12 or 12 Pac chant?

I haven't ever seen another conference do that. Plus "Pac 12" just doesn't have a ring to it, you need at least a 3-syllable chant. :smile2:

best example of how lame the SEC chant is: 2 years ago Kentucky barely beats E. Kentucky in one of the Garden Tool/Vending Machine Nuts Bowls and during the post-game interview with UK star player of the game....another Wildcat leans into the camera/mic amidst the on-field jubilation.....he yells: SEC! SEC! BABAY!

so, the "SEC" is counting a W over admittedly a decent Skip Holtz team from whatever conference as proof of it's "domination"? I'm sure Florida and Alabama fans had swollen hearts of pride for their high-achieving conference mates (or: should say: swoled hearts).

It was East Carolina, not Eastern Kentucky.

yeah, typo. i had the Skip Holtz part right.

I wasn't sure if you had the Skip Holtz part wrong of the E. Kentucky part wrong, so I looked it up. :smile2:

Some of you can focus on the SEC failures in bowls, but meanwhile the conference has won 4 straight BCS titles.

We could do "P - A - C".

While we're at it, we may want to explain to visiting fans that it's not proper to use a 3 letter abbreviation for a 2 word phrase.

Outside of Florida's beaches, the SEC is pretty much the only thing that the American South contributes to the rest of the country, academics be damned. Southerners are a very proud bunch. A buddy of mine, a grad of both Auburn and CU, said he is going to the CU/UGA game and actually rooting for UGA.

Hey Bama, Shaud is playing in that UFL league for Omaha. Thought you might like to know since he's one of your former players.

I don't really get conference pride. I try to root for Big 12 teams but I don't like any of them. There is a lot of pride in the South though so maybe I just don't get it.

They also double-up on uniform color schemes, with USC/MSU, Arkansas/Alabama, and even Auburn/Florida (not exact, but close). And the worst college uniform of all time, LSU, resides in the SEC.

that is kinda funny. additionally, they have 12 teams but could only come up with 10 nicknames.

Nothing more fanatical than a convert. I'm a 12 PAC fan. Chant: 12! (pause) PAC! Repeat.

Most UA fans will not chant 'SEC' because they hate everybody else except Vandy and UK.
