anyone brought a DSLR camera into folsom?

most likely bringing the camera to take pics pregame but i'm wondering if I can bring it into the game? I know you can't at nfl stadiums.

I bring a small digital camera but I've never taken out and shown anyone at the gate that I have it. It takes video if I feel like it.

DSLR = Digital Single-Lens Reflex Camra. It's basically just the digital version of the 35mm film cameras. Most if not all of the photographers (not the video guys) you see on the sidelines each week are using DSLR's.

Highflyer: I've seen some folks in the stands with DSLR's before. Now I don't know if they are allowed, but they got them in some how.

I just reveiwed the stadium policies and didn't see anything about cameras. I plan to bring mine too.

Just go early enough so that if they tell ya you can't take it in you will have time to hike back to your car. I had to leave a good umbrella at the gate one time. :lol:

I'm quite positive it is not allowed. That's why I had my dad carry it in. the ticket folks on the west side didn't even give it a second glance.

I told him that if they wouldn't allow it I would take it back to the car, but that was not needed. :lol:

The big thing that I have seen with DSLRs is the size. If you just have a normal size camera they wont say anything to you, but if you have a huge Telephoto lens on it, you are going to likely be told to put it away. I dont think there are any specific rules against them, but the paid cameramen dont want some guy in the stands competeing with them. End result, just bring a normal lens, and dont try to take pictures of Hawks broken nose from the top row.

I've never had an issue with bringing my DSLR (Nikon D3000), a few lenses, and bag into Folsom. I've always had to open the bag and let the gate guy have a peek, but that's it. You should have no problem with it.

There is a guy that sits next to us in 104 that brings in a camera with a pretty huge lens.

My friend works security and he said cameras are allowed. No problem.
