Georgia fans by far outclass husker fans

I have seen some real douchbaggery from husker fans visiting Folsom. A lot of people claiming they have been piss bombed probably deserved it because they started **** in the first place. Georgia fans are die hard, and very down to earth and classy. I was impressed and had fun with them. I even went over to their section to get a picture of their bulldog, and had good conversations, a lot of them even telling me that they would root for CU on the side because of how much they loved it here. When I left I got up on the rail, and at the top of my lungs said, "Hey Georgia make some noise!!!" As I took a pic of them. They loved it!

Thanks Dawgs! You Rawk! Huskers suck balls!

I just read the stuff they spew on Huskerboard and have long been convinced that they are as douchery as the rest of us anyhow, no comparison is really needed, I live down south and Georgia fans have a reputation of being really cool people and a road trip to Athens is a SEC must.

They travel better than Nebraska as well! When my wife and I arrived in Boulder for the Game yesterday we saw so much red I thought we were in Athens for a minute! It was crazy! Some really great fans though, we had several around us and all of them were having a great time and fun to talk to.

One of the UGA fans commented how he wishes UGA would schedule more games with the Buffs because of how great Boulder is.

On a side note, did anyone see all the camera flashes erupt from the UGA fan section when Ralphie was running? It was pretty funny!

Totally different groups of fans.

In Nebraska there isn't anything else, the corn are the identity, the self-image, the reason for being. kNU fans live and die by the football team. Anyone or anything that threatens that image, that identity is the enemy to be feared, to be scorned, to be swept over in a wave of self-worshiping red-clad devotees.

Georgia on the other hand is dedicated to their team. The show up in numbers, they travel across the country, they proudly show their affiliation. At the same time a bunch of 18-24 year old college athletes are not their reason for living. The Georgia football program for them is a means of coming together to have a good time, to share some beers, to make some noise and to forget about the worries of everyday living for a few hours. They recognize in their opponents these same characteristics, even though their opponents rarely match their intensity about it.

My experience over the years is that Corn fans either see non-corn fans as the enemy, someone to be converted to their way of thinking, or in the case of their OOC patsies, victims to pepetuate their way of thinking. The Georgia fans on the other hand see their opponents fans as another piece of the big picture. Someone to share a beer with, laugh and joke with, trade some good natured ribbing with, and then to move on to the next opponent.

I know that our number of OOC games in the future is going to be reduced by the PAC schedule but I would fully support Bohn if he could manage to schedule some more games with the Dogs. It seems like their fans had a good time coming here and they have a lot of fans living in the western US that would probably continue to make this a priority on their schedules. At the same time the Buffs fans who have been to Georgia for a game seem to universally agree that it is a great trip and worth going to.

Totally! They appreciate a good mascot.

I also saw quite a few Georgia fans with the free Bank of the West black CU caps - carrying, not wearing. I smiled at one lady and said "nice hat." And she said, "yes it is, and a great souvenir!" Wow, unexpected reaction.

The title of this post could have just as well been "The **** I took last night has more class than a husker fan."

all it took was a couple-three years of losing and NU fan joined the rest of us in the muck, muy pronto.
