It was nice having a playmaker at QB for a change. It sure looks like Tyler continues to get better as he gets more experience. The throw Deehan was bad and he paid for it, but overall he played very well.

His stats from last night do not seem incredible on the surface, but he was very efficient and he made some big plays on the ground and in the air. He also avoided sacks a few times. If we can find a way to get the ball down the seams a bit more, I think this offense gets to the next level.

He has a real knack for ducking out of trouble. Very elusive, and seems to be getting better at keeping his eyes downfield.

I thought the same thing rewatching the game today. Hansen had probably his best total game as a Buff yesterday, IMO.

Yep. He did a good job leading the team and making plays. The INT was total ****, but beyond that, he was great

Always felt, use what abilities a guy has. If he can move a little, run plays accordingly. Thats why I liked the play calling last night for the most part. Putting him in positions where he can run or throw is his wheel house. Option too but, as someone pointed out, think it was Boulder, we dont have to do it all the time and I agree with that. We can get big plays off of it, thats why I was glad to see it. Plus, we might just get BLock and Speedy in space and its a good change of pace as well.

they need to take a page from Shanny's book and start doing a ton of bootlegs with that kid, he is much better when he passes on the run, plus he can use his legs to get a few extra yards.

+1.

This thought ran through my head throughout the entire game on Saturday.

The couple passes I saw him make on the run were dead on

They ran a couple naked bootlegs with the tight end sneaking out. The Broncos used to run that play 5-10 times a game and it always worked. It was nice to see them putting a bit of it into the gameplan.

I loved the sprint right option play they ran so did Eddy Mac.

Hansen was the difference. He was phenomenal. More bootlegs, play action and option and I think you put him in a great position to succeed. All in all he threw the ball well in addition to making countless plays with his feet (avoiding sacks and picking up positive run yards). He is very elusive.

Tyler is a baller. Definitely wish he had been given the ball earlier and permanently.

Georgia paid the price by not accounting for Hansen's legs.

His 39 yard run in the first quarter was key to the Buffs fast start.
If his TD run didn't include a pump fake, he may not have scored.
Going over the top and hitting Will Jefferson in stride was a thing of beauty. Too bad the other long throw to Will Jeff didn't count as a completion.

Now let's see it on the road!

If we stay with the play calling style of the other night, Tyler is gonna start getting more and more comfortable.

Hansen still has to work on his mechanics when he's running left. Teams have picked up on that and try not to let him scramble right. When he's moving left, he doesn't do a good job of squaring his shoulders to his target.

Very fixable but you are right.

I did not notice that, but that is a great observation. I'm thinking most right-handed quarterbacks have the same problem.
