Future Schedule

What do you guys expect for future non-conf opponents?

What happened to our series with Minnesota? I don't remember hearing that it was cancelled.

Do we know when the 12-Pac schedule is going to come out?

Once they determine divisions (which should be sometime this month), then a schedule should be made public.

We're locked into a CSU matchup.
With a 9-game Conf schedule, the formula should include a patsy who comes to Folsom on a one and done agreement every other year, coinciding with when CU plays 5 road games in the Pac 10.

The other should be a marquee home and away series at BCS locations that are known for throwing epic tailgates.

Makes sense. But let's quit wasting our time on the CSU game. We need to wiggle our way out of that one.

the bad thing is that no matter how bad we beat or how many times in a row, they still love playing that game.

sure they do, they only have to win 1 in 4-5 games to make them feel good as an itchy pig scratching up a aginst a hick'ry post.

Why would we get rid of the C-State rivalry? That's an easy win.

I hope we keep Minnesota on the schedule, as that should be 2 wins right there.

We have a home and home with Fresno State and another home and home vs. Hawaii in years to come...it looks like the Minnesota series is off the schedule for the moment according to CUBuffs.com

I thought I read/heard Bohn say that the Minnesota series is still on, which is cool for me. I've got family & friends up there, so it would be a good home & home to have.

I've resigned myself that the CSU game won't be going away (easy win?? cheap travel), but I'd ideally like to find a way to have it at Folsom for our home games. This last game was a joke with the (lack of) fan support from the CSU side. If nothing else, start to rework the ticket allotments and start giving us more/better seats and cram the CSU fans into fewer and fewer sections if they're not gonna show up anyway.

In general though, I'd expect non-conference games to be:
- CSU - pseudo home game
- BCS conference school - doesn't have to be a great team, just a BCS team
- lower tier school that won't require a home & home. thinking a MAC, WAC, MWC type of school or else a FCS school

Not sure I'd see us playing 2 BCS schools and CSU. Just too much there with 9 conference games

I thought Fresno was a 2 for 1 and I see they're not listed on next year's schedule. Is it now a 1 for 1 or are we keeping one home date in the back pocket?

I thought it was a 2 for 1 too...maybe it's something that's getting re-worked and they just havent made an announcement

I believe Bohn already was told that CU would have five Pac-12 home games and four Pac-12 road games next season. Right now there is only one home game to be scheduled for next season.

But 2012 shows one game at Frenso State and the CSU game in Denver. So that could mean 2011 has four Pac-12 home games and 2012 has five Pac-12 home games. Maybe CSU-CU will have to be moved to Boulder next fall.

Yea, we had that series with LSU in place and canceled it for some unknown reason.

I don't know what types of home/home matchups I'd most want to see. In the past (pre-pac 10 announcement), I was thrilled with games like Cal & Oregon. Now that we're in the Pac, that takes out the west coast trips.

I like the Minnesota series. I'd be for a Michigan St (brother in law went there) series. Wisc/Mich/PennSt/OhioSt would all be nice, but not must haves for me.

The Hawaii one is nice to have, hoping to get out there for a vacation/game excuse..

Would be nice to have a shot at ND

The corpse isn't even cold yet, but something with the Corn would be good at some point in the future. Same with OU or UT.

SEC trips might be cool.

But, with 10 games already booked every year, I'm guessing high profile non-conference games are going to be a rarity for us.

I figure there will be a nice mix of trips to Texas/South and the midwest. Sounds good to me. Revive Michigan series!! (AFTER denard will be gone).

I'd love to see Notre Dame. Another one would be Memphis. Memphis is a good place to recruit and the U of Memphis is just terrible.

Rice or Houston for recruiting....Rice probably, since we can beat them. though i guess the same logic means a San Diego State or San Jose State in coming years. UNLV, coupled with a hoops home-home.

clempson. clempson. U of N Carolina. U of S Carolina. clempson. duke. NCState. clempson
