What positions would you target for the rest of this recruiting class?

Here's what we lose from the 2010 roster:

With Andre Simmons redshirting, we only have 15 available scholarships unless we have attrition from the current roster.

Here's what we need to replace to keep positional balance on the depth chart:

1 QB (Cody Hawkins)
1 RB (Corey Nabors)
2 WR (Scotty McKnight & Travon Patterson)
1 OT (Nate Solder)
1 C (Keenan Stevens)
1 DE (Marquez Herrod)
1 OLB (BJ Beatty)
1 ILB (Michael Sipili)
2 CB (Jimmy Smith & Jalil Brown)
1 K (Aric Goodman)

So far in recruiting, we have secured the following commitments:

2 QB (Brock Berglund & Nick Sherry)
1 WR (Donnie Duncan - grayshirt from 2010 class)
1 OT (Alex Lewis - grayshirt from 2010 class)
1 C (Alex Kelley)
1 ILB (Brady Daigh)

What positions would you target for the 9 remaining slots?

Here are mine:

1 WR
1 OL (guard or tackle)
1 DT
1 DE
2 OLB
2 CB
1 Athlete (RB, WR, DB, LB - don't care, just the best player we can get)

Obviously, if Duncan or Lewis don't make it to CU then I want a WR or OT as a straight replacement.

Has Simmons seen the field yet this year? If so, we will be needing to add depth and talent to the WR position. We need help at RB. Not so much depth-wise, but talent wise. We need to upgrade the talent level of our running backs. I'm not sure we will be able to do that this year, and that concerns me.

I think it's always a good idea to add a DT and a DE to every class, preferably two of each. We need help in the defensive secondary, too. A solid CB and a solid S would be very good additions to the class.

If there's a truly great kicker out there, we should make an effort. A great kicker (ie Mason Crosby) can single handedly win 2-3 games a year based on field position alone. I'm still not sure why a greater emphasis isn't put on the kicking game, particularly at the college level, where the differences between good kickers and bad kickers is so obvious.

You can never have to many solid DTs and you can always use a DE/LB who can defend the run and rush the passer. I wouldn't mind 2 of each, we should look for at least one of each. Trouble is that there aren't that many of these guys naturally out there and everyone wants them so the next best option is to find some big athletes who can be developed (Pericek is an example of this.)

OL is another area that can neve be to deep but we need to focus on getting some guys who can play guard. Kelley should solve the problem at C and we have some young tackles but Miller will be gone after next year and guard is an area where we have been less than overwhelming, some of our running problems are due to this.

We need LBs and depth at CB so these are next priority.

We have some potential at RB but nobody with size and speed combined, a RB who can move that is over 200lbs would be a nice addition.

QB should be solid, WR is pretty good but room for 1 or 2 more, especially if they can contribute on special teams.

I would also like a TE who can compliment our young guys as a dominating blocker.

Load up on LBs (3) and CB (2). Beyond that, does not really matter to me.

CB.......and another CB..........and another CB.

Not a short-sighted idea here. We lose 2 senior starters and have precious little experience behind them. Would love to see 1 HS and 1 JC corner recruited who can push for playing time right away. Recruit a 3rd CB - someone who can r/s and move into the mix at nickle or push the 2-deep at corner, or, move him to FS. Always good to have a ball-hawking FS, and someone who has played corner already has cover/ball skills.

After that, OL, DL, and RB seem to be the next immediate needs.

Share the same opinions as you guys. Definitely need corners and some LB help. Having Pugh coming in this year will help as well. After that, take the best we can get. I wouldnt mind an edge rusher but we have some young guys there.
