Got a question for ya. With Texas losing 2 in a row, and them having a bye before they come to Lincoln, does that worry you a little? I know Nebraska has the motivation factor for this game because of the '09 CCG, but now UT has the pissed off and regrouping factors after two straight losses and a bye.

Should be a good game. I know a lot of CU fans were concerned about Georgia because of the pissed off factor, but we managed. Just curious to your thoughts is all.

This is not the Colt McCoy or Vince Young Texas team... I watched 3 of their games this year. They are going through a down year.

I haven't seen any of the Nebraska games yet. I think it depends mainly on if either offense can score any points on the defense of the other teams. Is Neb's O looking any better this year?

Well UT isn't nearly as strong as they have been obviously....and UNL can be pretty explosive but they can also have an unispired effort as evidenced in their lackluster 17-3 victory over winless South Dakota State at HOME. It all depends on which UT and which UNL teams show up.

In all honesty I'm more worried about Kansas State then I am Texas. We play Texas at home...I expect we win that game.

Why should all the Husker fans be worried? with the stiff OOC competition that they faced, Texas should pale in comparison

I have to say that I could thoroughly enjoy the meltdown that could result from the whorns losing three in a row.

Yea I see where you are coming from. K-State has that strong running game and they always get up for you.

Texas is at best an 8 win team this year, I want to compare them to OU last year after everyone was hurt, but I'm not sure they are that good...

If I was a Fusker, which thankfully I am not, the UT game would scare the crap out of me for one reason. Nub-raska has not defeated Texas since the Big 12 was formed I believe. That has to have the feel of a curse. I wouldn't assume anything until the final whistle blows with more points on the board then Texas.

Stats like that don't bother me. Every year is different. Is it a gimme? No, not at all. But I feel better about it.

Texas is still loaded with talent, I find it hard to believe they will lose 3 in a row, especially after a bye. And Nebraska hasn't really proven much with who they've played. I thought NU was good after the Udub game, but Udub isn't really that great. And then with the South Dakota state game, I'm not sure about NU as far as beating a Texas team. Would love to see Texas lose 3 in a row though.

Other than crushing a rebuilding UW, they've played nothing but barber colleges and struggled with the mighty SDSU Jackrabbits. Not only will UT bring out the heavy lumber, KSU will beat them in the little apple this week.

No we haven't done much but Washington is a damn good ball team. They just kicked USC's nuts in.

Usc is not that good this year. And washington lost to byu which got blown out by Utah state... That win is not really helping you atm

Bull. They beat USC for one reason: Steve Sarkesian. He knows USCs personnel intimately, so he can more effectively scheme for them. There is a reason Washington's beaten USC twice in the last two years. I would be surprised if that trend continues past this year.

In no way are we National Championship contenders but we have a good ball team. I expect us to only lose 2 games this season.

Mack and Coach Boom are gonne come to Lincoln and **** you guys up!! Actually I dont know about that, but I am expecting an entertaining game. Texas had about 10 defensive penalties on 3rd downs that killed them in the OU game, and a few turnovers that just deflated any chance they may have had.

All I know is that Mack Brown is pissed right now, and that doesn't happen very often. With the bye week this week the players are in for some pain.

don't care who wins, but UT's offense has no teeth without the QB run option from the zone read. Gilbert has a nice arm but OL isn't very good and no WR threats. Gilbert also making bad decisions like a young QB. Front 7 has been pretty disappointing so far.

if they don't open it up on O and Greg Davis comes out of his play-calling fetal position, dink-dunk stuff without the QB run to open up the middle/get LB's out of position.....they will have trouble scoring enough to stay in the game let alone win.

**** the SWC. Go Big 8!

Y'see, I thought at the beginning of the season that I wanted both CU and nubs to play lights out and give the Mack 10 one last "FU" beat down season, but as it turns out I want nubs to get the piss knocked out of them every Saturday.

Which might have happened, you know, if they hadn't played a DII schedule.

Our schedule is weak but what people don't realize is that's hardly our fault except for the other NonConfs besides Washington. These were signed to 3 years ago. If the rest of the big 12 would stop sucking **** maybe we could play some more ranked opponets (hence our move out of the conference and Bo stating that he will no longer allow DivII teams in non conf play). By the end of the season im fairly certain we'll have 3-4 ranked teams on our schedule. 1 in the top 10. And Washington isn't a bad team....why because they lost to BYU who lost to Utah State? Yeah well Utah State, you may remember, almost ****ing beat Oklahoma and have you looked at Utah States schedule? It's no wonder they have a bunch of losses.

Quit comparing bull**** to bull**** that was the first week of the season...everyone ****s up.

I was actually just referring to your schedule to date. I will give you that travelling to Washington is a quasi-legit game. Not nubs' fault that they are on a down cycle. However, if it's true that Washington was signed 3 years ago, they were even more terrible then than they are now.

But Idaho, SDSU and WKU? There are plenty of mid-majors who play tougher conference schedules than that, and that's really the only part of the schedule for which nubs has ANY culpability. Certainly I realize that; do you?

Also, I could see Okie Lite, Texass, kjsu, and POSSIBLY MU ranked in the top 25 by end of season, but who among those is going to be a top 10?

The team we play in the Big12 championship, of course (okie) ;)

UT vs Nubs

The only outcome that I would be happy with in this game is if a large meteor were to hit the stadium at halftime.
