ESPN's take:
Daniels is a high-flying combo-guard that combines the ability of a high level finisher at the rim with an improved shot from the three-point line. He is an electrifying athlete that can turn an ordinary transition situation into a high-light reel-type play worthy of his YouTube fame. He is consistent from behind the arc, but has the ability to get hot and go on some unbelievable runs. His quickness allows him to guard either position in the backcourt and he is lethal in the press guarding the ball 94 feet or patrolling the passing lanes.

For a "weakness", all they could come up with is that he needs to work some more on developing his point guard game to improve his versatility even more.

OMG!!!

That's just a taste. YouTube has a bunch more video of Daniels winning dunk contests and posterizing defenders.

Sweet sassy molassy!!!

Daniels is visiting CU on October 23rd!

Daniels has not visited DePaul yet, but says he will. October 23 he will be in Boulder, Colo. to visit with the coaching staff and tour the Colorado campus.

"Supposedly if it all works out, I'll be at Purdue on the 29th," Daniels said. "Colorado has been recruiting me hard. They think I can come in an make an impact at guard for them. And most of the time they are not selling basketball, but the school and what the area has to offer."

As for the idea of staying close-to-home and pledging to N.C. State, Daniels admitted "They're not really in it."

He's got a relationship with DePaul's HC Purnell from when he was at Clemson, but it's starting to sound like this might be between CU and Purdue. Keep your fingers crossed.

Nice, it sounds like he's not necessarily set on playing for one of the local or ACC schools on his list.

Word of God is where John Wall went, and many of the kids on the squad are not native to NC. As far as the regional thing, I don't think there's too much pull on that.

That's great he's visiting, but I wouldn't say it's just us and Purdue. If he's as good as he's supposed to be, offers will start to trickle in as big-time schools lose out on their top targets. People will definitely know about him, because his school.

I like how Tad is recruiting him by telling him about the area and school.

Ouch. So he isn't going to even make the visit out here?

Seems pretty frustrating, I wonder what Boyle is saying about all these guys talking to him, then out of the blue grabing a "big ticket" program(although miami is crap in the ACC), and not giving Colorado a visit? I imagine its part of the game, but seems pretty crappy to me.

I think that this is to be expected as we step up a level in the kind of player that CU is recruiting. Tad and his staff are making inroads. We will loose most of these guys, given the history of CU BB, but it will improve over time. Even this year, we will probably get a two or three guys that would not have come here before.

I think that analysis is spot on.

You got to be in it to win it. We'll strike out on most until we become the type of program kids hold out hoping for an offer from us. But we'll get our share and build a deeper, more talented roster in a hurry.
