Did anyone else notice how Rodney Stewart gets abused when he blocks? One time it looked as if the DE or linebacker just picked him up and body slammed him.

We should have a fullback that is blocking while rs runs a release pattern so that we don't get safeties in the due to intentional grounding.

He's one tough dude. He ran hard tonight, albeit in a losing effort. Go for two?

Great night at Folsom anyway. What a beatiful day.

Speedy's about the last guy on the team I'd be calling out right now.

But Hagan has run off 1/2 our backfield so...
Please. I know you're a funny guy, but I'm not sure if you're joking when you always bring that up.

Arrogance ran off Scott
Home sickness ran off Torres
The certain probability that Demetrius would probably not receive the same amount of reps this year took care of Sumler.

Besides, none of those guys were actually any good. Or at least we'll never know. :)

yep he does a good job blocking...watched him go all the way across the backfield to pick up a blitz....he's got game

I know RS is the last guy that should be called out. That guy is a ****ing bad ass. That is not what I mean to do.

Having a fullback would be nice, though. That's scheming.

Valdez, my criticisms of Hagan are entirely sincere. You say Dscott was lazy. I say the coach didn't do a good job of motivating. Sumler left cause he wasn't going to get carries and didn't feel needed. Why? We could REALLY use him right about now. Torres took off cause he was homesick. Why? Did he feel unmotivated/unwanted? It seems like a pretty likely possibility to me. I think Maivaa could have been a pretty great fullback too. Someone didn't do a good job selling that position to him. That maivaa bit is a stretch, but I think the rest is pretty reasonable. Hagan has been pretty damaging as a RB coach.

not at all...perhaps not the best choice of words. I just saw him get thrown around like a rag doll a few times.

I don't agree with everything DH does, but placing the blame on him for kids leaving is a bit much.

DScott weighs about 250lbs now at USF. The kid was lazy.

I'm really surprised about everyone thinking Sumler was a great RB. I remember watching him run into the back of his OL on almost every series. Everyone on this board was asking why Hawkins kept putting Sumler in the game over Stewart and Lock. Speaking of Stewart, how many yards did he run for? Even with the ****ty OL 'blocking' in front of him? But somehow Hagan shouldve known Lock was going to blow out his knee. That's just bad coaching.

You can ask Mike Moschetti what he feels about the Torres situation. And Mike was his HS football coach.

But you're right about Maiava. He would've been a terrific FB. Too bad that damn Hagan ran him off.
