how dare you put logan on there...

seriously put mike nolan in there

How high should he be?

In my opinion --

1) He's a former BCS head coach
2) He took Texas Tech to a bowl game EVERY year he was their head coach.
3) He went 84-43 at Tech, competing against UT and OU every year.
4) Offensive wiz.
5) Currently unemployed. No buyout to hire him.
6) Knows Texas recruiting, able to find good talent which big boys (OU, UT, A&M, etc.) don't take.

He would be one of the first calls I made. But that's just me.

Any Colorado/Pac12 connections?

Not that I know of beyond the fact that he recruits nationally. Does well at it too, premier recruiter for arky. Hes their headhunter. Don't care all that much about contacts other than that.

Gus Malzahn (Auburn scored 65 points on Arky yesterday and outscored them 28-8 in 4th qtr.)

Will Muschamp (My #1 choice - huuuge longshot, but Mack doesn't look like he's retiring anytime soon - have to make a call)

Mike Singletary (will probably be looking for work soon, and really belongs in the college game. would need good assistants to help with X's and O's)

Agreed. We should explore any possibility, too. I don't want to settle for a coach. I want to get the best guy available. Spend the money.

I know someone brought up Jim Mora Jr. I know he's waiting for the Washington job, but that's not opening up anytime soon. Maybe we could sway him?

I do think that there is some very real value to hiring someone with University of Colorado ties.

Like it or not this is a very unique job. It is not like many other BCS programs, in that the University (and State for that matter) demand significant results but offer almost no assistance in achieving those results. I think a lot of people with absolutely no ties to Colorado (such as Dan Hawkins) would walk in the 1st day and say -- WTF -- to a lot of the things that go on in Boulder.
