Where do you see us finishing in P-12 South next year?

I know it's hard to say this without knowing who our coach will be and what our exact conference schedule will be, what do you see next year in the south (man I got to get used to saying/typing that instead of north). We do have a huge senior class next year wich could be huge.

My early prediction without knowing much.

1. Utah
2. Arizona
3. USC
4. Colorado
5. UCLA
6. Arizona state

Won't there be a learning curve for Utah? Sure, they've been good lately, but they get occasional weeks off when playing the likes of Utah State and Wyoming. Playing big boy football EVERY week may take a toll on the Utes.

I really do think it breaks on the new coaching staff. We have some talent and as mentioned above we will have a pretty big senior class. Snowy has it right, I think anywhere between 2 and 6.

 well its hard to be wrong when you only eliminate one possibility :wink2:

Don't slay me, but we will need some time to improve post-Hawk:

1. Utah
2. Arizona
3. USC
4. Arizona St.
5. UCLA
6. Colorado

Let me add that the 3-6 spots could all flip or shuffle fairly easily. USC will start to feel its probation in a big way next year so it could all tilt on its side.

Depends on coaching. That's everything right there in a nut-shell.

We need to find somebody who can actively and effectively recruit SOCAL from day 1 and is able to associate and motivate these guys to get the most out of them.

I'd say #3 or #4 if Hawk is gone. If he's there? Probably last.

Depends on who's coaching us....ask me when Dead Dan Walking is fired and I can officially see the "hope" out there

Utah is gonna be good, but their depth isn't ready to handle a big boy schedule yet. They will lose 2 or 3 at least.

Arizona state will need time after Erickson as well. Also UCLA is not that great. CU has a huge senior class next year. I think we could have a good season next year for a first year coach.

New coach must recruit LIGHTS OUT this offseason and go absolutely insane next season, cause after the 2011-12 class graduates we are gonna be in deep doo doo. That is gonna be a very rough year.

Yeah, that bottom half is close in a lot of ways. I'm just going off projections from what I have known and seen up to this point. I expect Erickson to stay; ASU's worst enemy is ASU. If they cut down on penalties and turnovers in a given game they are a different animal entirely.

It all depends on who the coach is. I'd put Utah at #1, and then everybody else in a group that could go from #2 to #6 depending on injuries, scheduling, coaching changes, etc.

Utah would be my odds on favorite to win the whole conference in their first year. That would be something. Oregon and Stanford would be the only two with any real chance of beating them.

There is really no chance of this. None. They don't have the horses. can they get up for 1 or 2 big games a year? Sure. can they handle BCS athletes week in and week out? No.

I disagree, but that's why they play the games. They have good coaching, a solid system, and their QB (the guy who was supposed to come here) will be in his Junior year.

All true. It is on their lines where the wear and tear will really show.

I disagree. I do think Utah will have success right off the bat, but they are not world beaters like you are making them out to be. I have them #1 in the south next year because the division looks to be pretty mediocre overall. However, if SC lands them in LA, I don't see Utah beating them there. Utah will also have a tough time if they have to go down to Tucson. I would say Oregon is my odds on favorite to win the conference next year. In fact I would not be surprised if Oregon beat the **** out of Utah in the championship game.

I'm thinking we come in last. Our offense will continue to struggle and our defense will start to suck ass.

If DII Danny is here then yes. We will have some talent and a huge senior class next year. and like someone said, the next couple years after 2011 look scary! New coach needs to recruit lights out!

I think we win it. USC is on probation. UCLA will be starting a freshman QB. Arizona will be replacing its QB. Arizona State is not very good. And Utah won't have the depth to play a 9-game BCS schedule. Meanwhile, we will have a huge senior class and returning starters at our key skill positions (QB, RB, WR and TE), only have to replace 1 OL, return our entire DL, and return our tackle & sack leaders from the LBs and DBs.

And I will keep my Buff colored glasses on until I'm forced to take them off.

I think if we get a competent coach in here quickly he will have all spring and summer to try and free our players minds of the crap they learned from Talkins. However, the hangover will be significant. But I still have faith that we have real talent that a real coach can mold into something good. My order of finish would be:

1. UA
2. UU
3. CU
4. USC
5. UCLA
6. ASU

I am already drinking the Kool-Aid that a new coach may mix.
