Talkins looks like a beaten man

He is a beaten man, no doubt. I dont know what we are waiting on?

In my mind, this became considerably more difficult w/ the loss of Hansen for the season. The only QB option left w/o burning a redshirt is the presumably fired coach's son. The rest of the season doesn't look good anyway, but this is not a good situation at all.

Good. He has completely failed. From 1985 to 2005 we had 3 losing seasons. Under Hawkins we have had 4 and are on our way to a 5th. An important step to his recovery as a human being is acceptance. He sucks as a football coach.

I don't give a rats ***** about whether Cody is qb or not in deciding to make a move or not. With Cody at qb I have a hard time seeing any victories the rest of the way...with this coach in place I definitely do not see any more victories this season. Pretty much the same result regardless.

Cody is a good kid and will give his all regardless so I don't feel it matters.

I've always been a Cody basher. After what he said yesterday, I dont see how anyone can stick up for him anymore.

OKC - check the "newsroom" forum under thread "Cody Lashes Out.." for some quotes. Honestly, I don't think he said anything bad. His dad is getting hammered from all sides and his wife and kid are rallying around him. Good. I'd be pissed if my family didn't do the same. The whole Hawkins family are good people. Sucks it didn't work for them, CU, or the fans.

Next week, if we lose at OU which seems to be a metaphysical certainty, we will have 5 losses and really won't be eligible for anything other than the crap.com bowl. Maybe then it makes sense to make the change to spare any more blood letting. Honestly, I think this is what they did up in Minny. Once they had those 5 losses, the AD probably determined it was the least painful path to just let Brewster go. At this point, Hawkins is the proverbial mouse being batted around by the cat. If you were in Hawk's shoes, wouldn't you just want it over if you know it's coming?

This guy has succeeded in burning our program to the ground. He is:

Beaten
Finished
A Swindler
A Fraud

And what's worse is I don't think he has cared about this program since the beginning of last year. I think he was beaten then.

Thanks, good sir. Appreciate it.

What Hawkins said was curt and borderline rude, but I totally understand it. Not only is he a leader on a bad team, his dad is the head coach and getting hammered. It would be tough for any of us to maintain poise and composure in a situation like that. I'm not trying to make an excuse for him, but I understand where he's at. His dad didn't come here to become a joke and a failure, nor did he leave the security of a Boise scholarship to follow his dad here and do poorly. It's a tough situation. I know there are a lot of angry people out there and I'm one of those, but we all must remember that Hawkins was NOT a bad hire... at the time. Hawk would have ended up at a major BCS program in a similar situation to CU that year or the next. So, we as fans have to remember that. Not to say we can't be mad and root for him to be let go so we can all move on, but I just felt like that needed to be said.

This whole deal has turned into a giant slop of suck, but it will not get worse than right now and, in a few years, this will all be just a distant memory.

I agree with most people here. This could really start to get ugly if action isn't taken by the administration. I think that they need to make some sort of announcement after an OU loss so that Dan and family don't have to take unnecessary heat when we all know what needs to be done.

They have to fire him after the OU beatdown.

If Bohn is hoping to have anyone in the stands for the remaining home games, he better have a reason other than show up to yell at D2D. How many fans does he think are going to pay 4-$40 to watch CU lose to ISU or KSU.

There were more tickets available outside the Tech game than any recent game I can remember. We are getting to the Fairbanks era when you could pick up free tickets before the game started.

I don't blame CH for lashing out, he's got his dad's back. He didn't create the cluster, he's just swirling in the middle of the bowl. I feel bad for him ,but he had no business getting to play QB as long as he did...for reasons we have hashed and rehashed a hundred times.

Agree it's not Cody's fault, he is what he is. However, his best option may be to lay low and ignore interview requests. It's almost over.

cody hawkins always struck me as a douchebag. ever since his first year on campus when he said something like "none of the other quarterbacks on the roster could even start on my highschool team". a sad case of someone with too big a mouth that can't back up his talk

This is true also. I remember him going on and on about "Either you do it the Buffalo way or leave..." when he was a true frosh. The apple is not far from the tree, big mouth, little results...

It's been a bad "deal" for all parties.... I look forward to the Hawkins family starting a new chapter of their lives somewhere, far, far away from Boulder. I sincerely wish them all the best of luck elsewhere.

Misti Hawkins was reported to have been standing in the background when Cody went on his little bitch rant. Why don't all three of you hit the road right now?
