So what are the odds we could see another QB with his redshirt taken off midway thru the season?

Definitely not advocating throwing a true frosh to the wolves in Norman, but if Cody gets hurt...

or...

What if CU is down 20-something to zero in the second half, and Cody is 15-21, would "Division-Two-Point Dan" pull his son so they could get a "spark", like at Mizzou??

Bigger question, do we even HAVE another QB to turn to avoid pulling Hirschman's RS?

Not really, according to the roster on Cubuffs. Justin Gorman is the only other QB listed, and he's a Freshman too.

**** Dan Hawkins. Every additional day he is here is a mark against the administration. They should all be fired from the President on down to D2D.

The season is shot. No need to pull the redshirt at this point. If Cody gets hurt, that's a different story, I suppose. My fear is that D2D will pull the redshirt out of spite. He knows his ass is grass, so he might sabotage the program (if it's possible to kill it worse than it already is) on his way out.

Serious question: Are you convinced that is what he wants?

I see OU bringing everything and everyone against Cody, they'll be well aware a true freshman is behind him. If there's any positive, OU hasn't been a stifling dominating defense this year, except for Iowa St (and CU in Norman could easily be an Iowa St repeat). OU is giving up over 21 pts/game, I think and about 389 yds. But they've still got some serious horses on that side of the ball, and that could spell trouble for Cody.

But, if Hirschman comes in, I'm sure he can throw the multiple screens and 2 yd dumps, since that's what the gameplan will be as usual.

People do crazy stuff when they're under a lot of stress. I've heard stories that once Callahan knew he was gone, he messed with the gameplans just to piss off certain people. A person facing foreclosure will often strip the plumbing out of the house, just to spite the bank.

So yeah, I think he might actually do something like that. He knows his coaching days are done. He's a miserable failure as a football coach. He's been exposed as a fraud. He has nothing to lose, because his reputation is already in the toilet.

More the reason to cut him now. Hirschman doesn't need to be T. Hansen Part II.

Too funny sackman. Too funny.

That is very true--even more so when someone under stress feels they have been treated unfairly. And I'm pretty sure D2PointDan feels all criticism of him is unfounded and unjust.
