He has some great info today -- lots of good stories today.

His info on the CU QB's under Hawkins was particularly interesting and revealing.

Care to elaborate?

He was talking about how Hawkins handled the Brian White situation, and how Hawkins handled Cody Hawkins, and Tyler Hansen. Talked about doing a CU game with Dan Fouts and Dan was watching Cody play, and watching the backup QB's playing the scout team, and wondering why Cody was starting and the guys on the scout team were on the scout team.

I'd encourage you to listen - it is interesting to hear a first person perspective.

I remember Fouts had a hard-on for Ballenger.

I remember Fouts had a hard-on for Ballenger.

I remember that as well. DF said the player with the best QB skills on the roster was Ballenger...of course that explains why he never played....I mean what the heck does DF know compared to the Zen master.

Another good comment Joel made was that he had heard from sources in the CU locker room that the plan against OU is to pass, pass, pass, and then pass a few more times. The number Klatt threw out was 50 passes.

Now, against Texas Tech last week, a game CU was WINNING when the 4th quarter started, and a game in which Cody Hawkins didn't enter the game until there was 6 minutes left in the 1st half --- Cody Hawkins passed the ball 43 times!!!!!

I have absolutely no doubt Cody will be slinging the ball 50+ times against OU.

Might as well since the running game was so bad against UGA.

Pipe down, Ballenger had his shot for a half in a losing game behind a terrible line.

OU's pass defense is supposedly their achilles' heel...I like the "pass, pass, pass" mentality...

It has been the entire Stoops administration. That's how OSU beat them in 2001 and 02 and USC in the title game that one year. Their problem is they over-pursue on defense. So, if you can survive the onslaught and chuck the ball downfield, there's a good chance you will have beaten the coverage.

USC beat OU in the title game by throwing. I don't know about anyone else, but I like our chances in this game. Our QB starts on any USC team the last 5 years.

I have to assume you are referring to the school now known as CSU-Pueblo?

No Wynn. No jones. It would be nice to have a game changer at qb. It hides many program flaws. I wish Cody well but his physical limitations are what they are.

I also heard Klatt ripping the Boyle hire the other day. Joel, honestly, is kind of a dick head.

Does Joel have a podcast of his show and can you tell me what radio station he broadcasts from.

Thanks in advance.

Further proof that Klatt is a douche trying to make a name for himself. He should stick to FB where he at least has some credibility.

I didn't hear the Boyle stuff, but I agree with the vast majority of what Klatt has to say. I think he's just a Buff who is really pissed off at the state of the program.

He isnt the only one. You can beat OU passing, just depends how you do it. Look up the OU game at A&M years back, they lit it up. We cant protect the qb and we have a weak armed qb, not a good recipe. GoBuffs, I have no comment. Good God.

hell, i hope cody throws for 500 and 4 tds and we win this thing. i don't think there is any way, absent a miracle, that the staff can win enough games to save their sorry arses. so, we might as well hope for the best on a week to week basis.

I'll be rooting, just like always. Beer doesn't seem to numb the pain enough, though. Might have to go with bourbon this week.
