Blake Street Tavern is the official watch party location for CU away games for the CU Young Alums, Denver Buff Club and Alumni C Club. We have 40 hdtv's, three bars under one roof and 18,000 square feet to handle hundereds of Buff fans. Enjoy $3 off buffalo wings or $3 Coors Light Drafts and $15 Coors Light Buckets.

Today, we have a very special guest, Ralphie, visiting us from 4:30-5:30 pm. Bring the kids andcamera and take pics with America's favorite mascot! Special thanks to the CU Athletic Department and Coors Distributing for bringing Ralphie to Denver.

Blake Street is located at 2301 Blake Street, one block north of Coors Field. We have over 200 free parking spots. For more info, call 303-675-0505.

Thanks and GO BUFFS!

66Buff, I don't know what your problem is --- but BlakeStreetBuff was invited to post here. This is not a random bar offering a random watch party (although I wouldn't object to posting info about that either), Blake Street Tavern is the official Buffs bar in Denver.

Blake Street also hosts the coaches luncheons and meetings of the buff club. There might even be a reason you'd want to know that Ralphie is showing up in person (in buffalo?), right? That maybe this is more than some guy with a couple televisions trying to sell a few beers? NTTIAWWT.

As a buff fan I WANT to know about gatherings of my brethren - love to be around my people when we win, and ... to know I can join with other forever buffs in analyzing our sorrows when we don't.

If you don't want to read this, skip it. But this isn't the category of spam by my definition. I would prefer you quit posting your little icon. Post it on my posts, if you wish: I was one of several folks who emailed Blake Street last year and asked how come information on buff events was posted on Netters, and Rivals and RalphieReport, but not here ... he responded by adding us to his list to notify of upcoming CU-related events. I don't see how this is any different than posting a list of watch parties in various states, or the California schedule of Alumni events, information on the Lazy Dog holding the radio show in Boulder, or anything else that has to do with the buffs.

Realize my opinion means zip to you, but your insistence this is spam offends me. Please don't be an idot if you can help it.

:yeahthat:

We've done several things to try to let people know where they can watch games with other Buff fans. We have posters who post the locations of the watch parties they organize. The fact that the owner of the location posts this information doesn't change the fact that it's useful information for Buff fans.

I assume they do Broncos parties, etc. at Blake Street too. If we were being bombarded with posts about those, that might be spamming. But he's always stuck to just giving information about Buff parties, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Hey, I like the guy, so I'm prejudiced in his favor. But, if you've ever shot down Blake Street (the street itself) on the way to downtown Denver or a Rockies game when the front of the place was covered in CU flags, it's a welcome sight in Denver. An oasis of black and gold.

He's always willing to talk a little football when I catch up with him, and often points out former buffs in the place. I've met four or five guys who used to play for the team that were in BST - that was also where I met Klatt for the first time in person.

Yes, it is.

anything else?

I just responded because I thought for some reason you were uninformed about Blake Street Tavern. I like the place, like the owner, think it is GOOD for the buffs to have a place to watch away games.

The Lazy Dog blows. Overpriced. But hey, it's Boulder right?

overpriced -- check
overhyped -- check

but have to say that recently I had some older relatives in town and we were waiting for our food when we saw the Pearl Street Stampede starting, the Lazy dog waitron offered to hold our food (under the warmers), save our table for us, while they went outside and came back a half an hour later.

Not sure this was a good or bad thing to have warmed food much later, but was a nice gesture. Since we hadn't paid a dime for drinks or food yet, she took a chance that we'd be coming back at all, but we did.

Don't knock the gulags, man. They're quite effective.

I'll get you one of these in lieu of the AB's shirt:
