Reading through the threads I get the feeling that a lot of the younger fans are a no to Mac, and a lot of us "elder" fans are pro. Lets see the breakdown.

29 and no.

But it all depends on our other options. We may be pleasantly surprised to learn that our candidate pool is robust, say if Les Miles or Gus Malzahn are interested. But if we have to go digging around for some up-and-coming coordinator, that is risky. In that case, Mac would be better.

Do any of you worry about Mac tarnishing his legacy by coming back? He is likely the biggest legend in program history. Part of me says, let's keep it that way and shield him from any future damage.

I'm 34

I'd be interested to see what the breakdown is for concern over his religious beliefs among the people who don't want him back.

23 and no. I know who Mac is and went to a few games when he was the coach so your poll doesn't cover my situation.

What's up with ****ers making polls today and not giving an option that applies to me?

I'm 31 and went to all the home games for the 1990 season...you know how that turned out. I'm leaning against Big Mac returning but haven't really decided.

35 - and I'm in favor of Mac. Not saying it must be Mac, but if he comes back, I'm good with that.

29 - no

I think 25 is an odd cut-off age for your poll. Mac left CU in 1994, 16 years ago ... a person who is 26 right now was 10 back then and maybe I just have a low opinion of myself, but back when I was 10, or 17-18 for that matter, I didn´t quite understand things like I do today. I think 40 would´ve been a better cut-off age. A person who is 40+ today was in his early/mid 20s (or even older if you´re DBT :p) back then and I think a person is far more capable of understanding things in his 20s than in his early teens.

That's part of it for me. Also, I think he is old and no one outside of Colorado knows who he is and even current colorado high school kids probably don't know who he is. I'm also not sure he'd run a clean program.

Since it has nothing to do with football I have no concern....especially since he was a Christian the first time around....

Don´t give 2 ****s either way. Catholic, Protestant, Buddhist, Muslim? His choice and I generally don´t care about the religious beliefs of someone unless he tries to force them onto me.

31 and Mac with EB as OC is my second choice pick behind Les Miles. Honestly I don't care as long as we don't hire Logan or Calhoun

Over 25. Love Mac. If he ends up being the hire then I'm on board and I'll rally to the cause. But he's not who I would hire.
