you stated that your uncle and aunt are Michigan supporters.... did they by any chance leave the game early in 1994?

One of the funniest things that happened after that game was that I ran into several people who had no idea they lost OVER AN HOUR AFTER THE GAME WAS OVER....

I was arrested and then released by the UM Police... as I was walking back to a tailgate... there were still Michigan fans who asked me why I was so happy....

actually... i think my uncle was... he was a big auto analyst for Merrill Lynch... if he was in detroit he would have been there

Greatest game I ever went to.

where were u sitting? I made the mistake of going with my friend into the student section all decked out in CU gear and face painted... I was obviously pelted with marshmellows so I left and sat in the front row CU section at the 20 yard line (where Kordell THREW the ball....)

:stupid: I was sitting in the CU section in the row behind Dan McMillan (the old-timers will know who he is).

which was around the 10-20 yard line where Kordell threw the ball.... correct?

It seems like KS let it fly from just short of the 30 yard line. I remember seeing the highlights and thinking, 'damn, that went 70 yards!!!!'.

he did let it go at about the 30....

I was just trying to remember what yard line the CU section was (in relation to the field)....

I think it was the 10-20 yard line...

Looks like he let it go around the 27-28

The point being not where Kordell let the pass go, but where the CU seats were .....

In the picture in Ruff's post, we were just to the left of the team, around the 15-20 yard line.

wow.... that play shouldn't have counted.... the clock is on zero while the ball is still in Kordell's hand :smile2:

(just checkin to see if anyone falls for that)

I have longtime friends that traveled all the way to Ann Arbor from Boulder, left the game 4 minutes early cause Michigan fan was giving them crap. Didn't find out that CU won the game until they were pulling into the parking lot of their hotel.

I was on the sidelines. CU media from the Campus Press. They didn't pay for my trip. I used my status as having a sideline pass to travel to Texas and Michigan that year. I tried to get to NU but I filed the paperwork too late. Glad I did. The weather and the game sucked as I recall

I knew what the play would be. Ran down the field to the end zone. Watched Kordell heave it. Was directly across the end zone from MW and saw him make the catch. It was amazing.

I know that wasn't the point...but this whole thread made me want to relive the moment on youtube and I just happened to notice he was amazingly well behind the 30 when he let it go.....wow.

I dont think I have ever been that excited in my life other than the day Jordan was born. I dont know why but I sprinted out of my house yelling my ass off. No wonder my neighbors thought I was crazy lol. Great moment.

I was living in Virginia and remember that afternoon vividly. Stoooopid local affiliates were carrying some lamo game (big least conference) when ABC broke in with the highlight. I 'bout broke both legs running down the stairs to tell the wifey.

I was in section 6, row 66, seat 25 (have the ticket framed in a poster of The Catch)
