I know its early but why not. Its the last matchup for awhile.

1. 1986 was a fun game and when we made our turn under mac.
2. 62-36 great o-line performance that day
3. 1990 down 12-0 going into 4th and score 27 straight
4. 1991 we tie in a cold night game

62-36, when me, being the typical CU Frosh, was 2 minutes late to the game. And CU had already scored a TD.

2001 my husker wife's first ever husker game in person. i was losing my mind
1990 (i was 10 dont remember much)
1989 (i was 9 dont remember much)
2007
2002
2004

1986 - Without this game, no national title in 1990. Ended 17 year losing streak to the Corn. Coach Mac: "Men, this is as sweet as it gets!" ... http://www.cuatthegame.com/1986/3-nebraska-20-10-the-mother-of-all-games/

2001 - 62-36. Started 21-0 in first ten minutes. Never lost the smile on my face ... http://www.cuatthegame.com/2001/2-nebraska-62-36-in-case-you-missed-it-that-was-62-36/

1989 - "CU in Miami!" - the pitch from Hagan to Flannigan one of the most memorable plays in CU history ... http://www.cuatthegame.com/1989/3-nebraska-cu-in-miami/

1990 - Bieniemy Goes for four fourth quarter touchdowns. Buffs come back from 1-1-1 to national title contenders ... http://www.cuatthegame.com/1990/cu-vs-nebraska-nov-3-1990/

I will not climb in the ring with Montanbuff for details and besides I agree with him. I just note that there is to me a big gap between 1986 and the rest as great as they are. The sheer unexpectedness of the victory and all it represented for the future just make it special. That and one of my cockiest professors was a big NU fan who talked trash on Friday. When he came in on Monday and saw 20-10 on the chalkboard all he could say was "you kicked our a##".

1996 was pretty good. Same miserable weather as 1990, just a better ending. 91 had to be the worst weather I have ever sat in.

Aii said, just a pretty competetive series. Too bad it can't go on.

2001 - 62-36. Everytime he touched the ball it seamed like Chris Brown was blowing through another huge hole.

1999 was memorable too, unfortunately for the opposite outcome. I think that was the game where Jeremy Aldrich missed a FG that would have won the game in regulation. All of us students had one leg over the railing ready to rush the field. We ended up losing in OT.

Here's my favorite

OVERALL: NU -- 48 cu -- 18

AT
folsCUm: NU -- 21 cu -- 9

Then there was the 1992 game NU -- 52 cu -- 7 or 2005 NU -- 30 cu -- 3:asskicking:

1. 2001 62-36. This was what buff fans had been waiting a long time for. Complete domination over the huskers. We simply bitch slapped them around and it felt so good after 5 straight years of coming up so short of beating them.

2. 1990 27-12. You could hear a pin drop midway through the 4th quarter. While NU was still technically in thhe game, the husker fans could just sense Colorado was gonna win. dead silent. The shirts the team had for this game said "The real blackshirts". They walked through the airport in Nebraska with these shirts on.

3. 1989 27-21. The pitch from Hagan to JJ was one of the best plays I've ever seen in college football!

4. 2007 65-51. It was fun seeing the huge second half scoring spree.

5. 2002 28-12. Another dominating rushing game against them. Classy fusker fans throwing bottles at our players.

Great stuff Stuart!!!

1986 and the reverse to Soupy - I was a sophomore and had no idea how much fun the next 10 years of football would be. That day was the revival of the proud Buffalo which sprung CU into the National spotlight.

88 as pretty good as well. Solid Defensive game on both sides. JJ was running straight at me in the North Endzone when he dropped the pig. Unbelievable.

It is hard to pick a favorite win that CU had over the Huskers. How could you single out a few of them from a total of 18 wins against Nebraska.

You seem to be a nice guy and a good football fan so I won't rip on you :p

But since Mac was hired, the series has been very close and I think it was 3 years in a row where the games were decided by a couple of points?

Pretty much the last decade with the exception of a couple blowouts from both teams, the games have been very exciting and close.

In my 39 years of life 31 wins and only 7 off days - cu will NEVER be the program NEBRASKA is, not even on the worst day as a buff!!

2001!

Brought my girlfriend (now wife) to this game. It was her first college / CU football game ever. Before the game she had no interest in CU or Football, after the game she was a Buff fan for life! :D
