1 for sure. I am getting more confident all the time Bohn is going to f*ck this one up. Plus if if I go in as negative as possible, even if its a 2, I'll be ****ing ecstatic.
This is the worst poll ever. I don't love you any less for it Nik, but whiskey tango foxtrot?
It reminds me of something a vapid friend of a vapid roommate once said in regards to an episode of Dawson's Creek. Specifically, she said, "I didn't cry as much as I expected to."
What? You had emotional expectations regarding an episode of a teeny soap opera? And your expectation to cry a certain amount was somehow unfulfilled?
That's some crazy ****, right there.
What is "Dawson's Creek"? Some tv show you watch?
I can honestly tell you that I've never seen so much as one second of Dawson's Creek. But you can't tell me--even if you've never seen it--that you're unaware of it's existance.
But this isn't about me, or even a TV show. This is about a poll which requires us to anticipate an emotional response to a future event which will be the result of a process of whose inter-workings we have no real knowledge. Look, I'm pretty in touch with my feelings, but even uber-therapist can't convince me to analyze my future feelings.
I'm sure you've got a poster on your bedroom wall or a trapper keeper or something. :wink2:
Anyway, the reason I started this is that I've actually seen a lot of people posting that they expect Bohn to **** it up or getting really excited about certain candidates (expecting to be let down or fulfilled, I don't know). Thought people would have some fun with this.
Philosophically, I agree with you. In fact, it's a major deal with me that I guard against in my own thinking. A lot of people waste time and emotional energy stressing out over how they will react if something happens. Even if it never happens, they've had the upsetness to some degree of what they would have experienced. You know the saying, "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it". I use a variation of that all the time when I see others stressing over a possible eventuality or I catch myself having an emotional reaction to something that hasn't happened: "That bridge doesn't exist yet".
So you're absolutely right. But lighten up, Francis. :smile2:
Poll: How do you expect to feel about your hangover today, Navy?
I take it all back. You're actually a ****ing genius. You covered your bases here. I'm serious.
