Coach's presser

seriously, our HC is talking actual football and stuff. Longest presser I have listened to in years that didn't have me laughing or crying at stupidity.

Weird to hear football terminology and strategy. Doesn't Cabral have any Zen philosophies or catch phrases?

oh my, openness that Jon is done for the season. Wow, this is awesome. Talking about how him and Perkins are helping the young guys out.

What a gentleman. "Ladies"

Solder talking about what impresses him about Cabral:
Passion, Heart, tradition, history

Reporter: What do you think about the traditions Cabral has brought back?
Solder: I am really sad I haven't been able to have those traditions during my time here.

**** you hawk. **** you so much.

i hope buffs win out and cabral gets named permenant head coach. most of the leading candidates scare the **** out of me

********WOW********* BC what a feeling!!!!!!! didn't ever think i would ever get the feelings back that i had before.. my once "proud" buffs are back and power packed and we all can stand proudly and say...WE ARE THE BUFFALOES

I am beginning to come around to your thinking. If he can attract top notch assistants, I am all for it. And yes, many of the leading candidates scare me too.

Cabral better at least get serious consideration. If he is just brushed aside by Bohn and the Admin, I will be very disappointed.

He may be winning them over more and more each day.

Amazing what can happen when a man has passion for what he does and cares more about the result than who gets credit!

We know he can recruit, we know that players like and respect him, we know that he has succeeded at everything he has tried in football.

I would much rather take a shot on Cabral than some retread looking for a last set of paychecks after mediocrity someplace else. Face it, we aren't paying enough to get somebody to leave another 'great" situation. For what we can pay we either get a guy without the track record or a guy whose track record is good but not good enough.

Saturday I saw a guy who was a leader, a guy who inspired players to play their best, a guy who made a positive difference in the outcome of the game. Looking at some of the other options I would have no problem with Cabral.

He has really made a positive impression on me but he seems absolutely lost when it comes to anything involved in the Offense.

Relax, guys. There's still some football left to be played. If the Buffs lose Saturday to KSU and lose in Lincoln a week later, I doubt anybody is going to be clamoring for Cabral.

I agree. In the meantime, it sure is nice to see some passion.

All I know is that I want Cabral on the sidelines on Sep 3rd, 2011.

Going to watch CU in Hawaii without our Polynesian Superbowl champ who has made a career out of developing great hawaiian LBs would be a shame.

Cabral has to be there in one capacity or an other.

Wish the seniors were given the traditions like all the players before them. Nice to know hawk didnt want traditions around.

I think we need to tap the brakes a little on Cabral - one game does not a head coach make, just as WVU. As much as I love Cabral and what he's done for CU in his career - I get that "career assistant" feel from him. I don't know what it is, maybe I just wonder why a guy who's been so good for so long hasn't gotten even a DC job by now. Maybe that's unfair (and I do think he deserves a serious interview), but he seems like our Norm Chow.

This, unless he can get some serious studs for our offensive coaches (and really could he?), I doubt we get too many big time recruits on the offensive side of the ball.
