“I think going to the Pac 12 is actually going to help us,” DiStefano said. “The limited financial resources we have, we’re more similar to the teams in the Pac 12 than in the Big 12. I think we’ll fare well in the Pac 12, but we’ll probably have to look at some upgrades in facilities. And I don’t know what those are and I’ll certainly leave those up to Mike to work with, but I think that will be a priority for a new coach coming in.”

Okay - I hope you are paying attention because while we may not be at the bottom of the PAC-12 for facilities now we will be very soon if we don't act now. I don't expect a $250 million dollar Folsom upgrade but we do need to start doing some things i.e. Flatirons Club, Video boards, Field House

Besides for a video board, not sure what else I'd like to see changed about Folsom. There might be some internal bones that need upgrading, but I like it how it is. I think a permanent indoor practice facility with weight room and meeting rooms would be tight and would help in the arms war.

Let's be realistic, how many millions do we need to spend on a pretty nice/decent stadium that is used like 8 out of 365 times a year for the purpose in which it was built. We need to concentrate more on the auxiliary facilities.

Having said all that, your point is well taken. We/they need to take notice and utilize the various means of financing similar to Washington to make upgrades.

Agree for the time being, Stadium upgrades should be pretty low on our list of priorities.

I concur with BF09, practice facility is something really lacking, especially in a cold weather area. It's something that could be used by multiple sports and also be something we could show recruits that will show them we're in this game to win.

NOT CALHOUN! Sorry, I'm just so used to putting coach's names in replies.

Zona athletic facility upgrades: $378M ($82M Stadium)
Cal stadium upgrade: $321M
U-Dub stadium upgrade: $250M
Rose Bowl upgrades: $152M
Coliseum upgrades: $100M
Oregon upgrades: $96M (completed)
Stanford upgrades: $90M (completed)
Oregon State upgrade: $80M (completed)

Meet the new conference. Same as the old conference.

Exactly that's all I was trying to say. I agree there really isn't a lot of work that needs to be done with the stadium outside of a new sound system, some bigger score boards and remodel the Flatirons club/Bach No need to really add any seats right now -- My point just being that I hope Di Stephano realizes that while the Pac 10 members don't have the facilities that Texas/OU/OSU have now, they are well on their way. My fear is we wait to long and get lapped yet again in the facility race by all our conference members. I would like to see us get the new permanent indoor practice facility and new video boards first before we do anything else.

Lol! I know as soon as I pressed submit and I saw the title I was like ****. Can you even edit the title of the post?

Takes lots of money to do all that at once. Bohn has been trying to do them piecemeal... I'm not too worried about getting everything we need eventually.
