First buff to be among the 3 finalists for the nations best lineman award since Joe Garten in 1990! Lets hope he can convince voters to add another major individual award to CU football with a dominating performance on Friday. The other two finalists are Wisconsin OT Gabe Carima and Florida State OG Rodney Hudson. Go Nate!

Great news but he won't win. Like Dizon the team's record he plays for will hurt him

Good luck Nate. Death or glory! Wait? We don't say that in the sports world? Okay, just "glory" then. Go Buffs!

I think Solder is a good player, but there is no way he should win the award. He hasn't looked dominant this year.

If this award is handicapped in any way, Solder just might win. Having to overcome the degenerative effects of Progressive Sqwakins Palsy should make him a shoe-in.

Congratulations Nate! Go Buffs!

I actually think that he has a shot to win if he roadgrades Nebraska - I'd say he's in line to finish 2nd to the Badger as of now.

Congrats Nate! Just being in the top three is a huge honor.

All you need is a big game on ABC to get your name out there even more, hmmmmm. Go Buffs!

That seems really generous to only say 2 based on what I saw in the Cal game.

I was thinking the same thing. I thought he gave up 3 in that game alone. The bottom line is he is a great buff and that position is hard to measure as opposed to when Dizon got absolutely robbed a few years ago. I know that he has struggled at times, which I thought he might not be deserving, but he has dominated most of the year.

Dont forget in college, if the play looks like its going to be a quarter back run, then its not a sack even behind the line. Maybe they counted some of those as runs. He did get abused in that game though.
