Posted from AZ's site (with permission). Take it fwiw.

HC - Embree...Jon's accomplishments are well-documented

OC and RBs coach - Eric Bieniemy...also well-documented

QBs coach - Walt Harris - Former HC at Pitt and Stanford

OL Coach - Steve Marshall - Was the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and North Carolina. Running game Coordinator/ OL coach at Tennessee. OL coach for the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns. Coached OL at CU in 2001 Big 12 title season. Currently the OL coach at Cal.

WRs coach - Bobby Kennedy - Current WRs coach and asst. recruiting coordinator at Texas. Originally from Boulder. Known as one of the best recruiters in the nation. Coached Wrs at Wake Forest and Wyoming. Also coached RBs at Wake, Arizona and Washington. Has coached in, and won two national title games

TEs coach - to be determined, but there is another very exciting name here that I cannot yet confirm

DC - Greg Brown...well-documented

DL coaches - Mike Tuiasosopo and Kanavis McGhee - Mike is the current DL coach at Arizona and has also coached DL at Utah State and D-tackles at Utah. Mike is known as one of the very best recruiters in the Pac-10 - especially of Polynesian players. He has great connections in Hawaii and Los Angeles. Kanavis is a former Buff great with incredible connections to the Houston area as he was the HC at Sterling HS. He coached defensive linemen professionally with the Amsterdam Admirals and is currently the LBs coach at Gannon University (PA).

LBs coach - Either Brian Cabral or Greg Biekert...both well-documented.

DBs coach - Ashley Ambrose

The word is both Ambrose and McGhee will also coach STs.

Director of Football Ops - Jashon Sykes.

Why would EB consent to be on Embo's staff if he is in the running for HC. Doesnt make sense. These AC's are supposed to be confirmable.

Supposedly these are confirmed. and supposedly EB and JE have an agreement to come back to CU together. Like I said, take it fwiw.

That is a nice list.
:yeahthat: with one exception...

Walt Harris? Had to remind myself who he was: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walt_Harris

Not only is he old - 65 - but he seems to be on a downward spiral:

1997-2004: HC at Pitt; 52-44, 2-4 in bowl games
2005-2006: HC at Stanford; 6-17 (only one win in 2006)
2007-2008: ???????
2009: AC (QBs) at Akron - fired with the head coach
2010: OC at California University of Pennsylvania (huh?)

I'd rather keep Kiesau

I would take Walt Harris as a QB coach over Kiesau any day. Anything else, probably not, but definitely if it is just QB coach. I think his head coaching experience (even if some of it is not great) at BCS schools can valuable for a first-time head coach.

Rumor watch

Ashley Ambrose was "supposedly" informed last night he's not coming back next season. Take that FWIW - another day, another rumor.

Isn't AZ the one with a hard on Embree last time we had a coaching search? So I assume that he still feels this way?

Dan Hawkin's sister's neighbor's teacher told me Bear Bryant is Embree's TE coach, but he couldn't confirm.

Continue to read this rumor mongering about EB & Embree make me cool more and more on the idea of Mac coming back....

This. Walt Harris will be able to recruit a QB here.. I like the offensive side of the coaches a lot much more than the defensive side if that is the true list.

One of the reasons I find it hard to take this coaching list seriously is Brown as DC. I just find it hard to believe that he would jump back and forth so quickly. Seems like a list built to get Buff fans all worked up and not really based in reality.

Does Greg Brown really make be "get all worked up?"

He does nothing for me. Perhaps I am in the minority, though.

I am not sure any single person on the list is trying to get people worked up, just the overall feel. Great names from CU's past, well known names in recruiting or position coaches.

I probably should have split the two comments up. Just rambling about reasons I think the list is not based in reality.

another day another sh1tty ass rumor

^^^^This

Wake me up when the ink is dry. There is far too much detail in there for it to be real. Most of those guys are under contract somewhere else and they have to be released first or bought out to come here.
