As posted earlier by Snow (also AirCraig who is a CU football parent posted the same info about the same exact time as AZ did):

HC - Embree...Jon's accomplishments are well-documented

OC and RBs coach - Eric Bieniemy...also well-documented

QBs coach - Walt Harris - Former HC at Pitt and Stanford

OL Coach - Steve Marshall - Was the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and North Carolina. Running game Coordinator/ OL coach at Tennessee. OL coach for the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns. Coached OL at CU in 2001 Big 12 title season. Currently the OL coach at Cal.

WRs coach - Bobby Kennedy - Current WRs coach and asst. recruiting coordinator at Texas. Originally from Boulder. Known as one of the best recruiters in the nation. Coached Wrs at Wake Forest and Wyoming. Also coached RBs at Wake, Arizona and Washington. Has coached in, and won two national title games

TEs coach - to be determined, but there is another very exciting name here that I cannot yet confirm

DC - Greg Brown...well-documented

DL coaches - Mike Tuiasosopo and Kanavis McGhee - Mike is the current DL coach at Arizona and has also coached DL at Utah State and D-tackles at Utah. Mike is known as one of the very best recruiters in the Pac-10 - especially of Polynesian players. He has great connections in Hawaii and Los Angeles. Kanavis is a former Buff great with incredible connections to the Houston area as he was the HC at Sterling HS. He coached defensive linemen professionally with the Amsterdam Admirals and is currently the LBs coach at Gannon University (PA).

LBs coach - Either Brian Cabral or Greg Biekert...both well-documented.

DBs coach - Ashley Ambrose

The word is both Ambrose and McGhee will also coach STs.

Director of Football Ops - Jashon Sykes.

some guy read this staff to Klatt and CJ today... they were pretty impressed.

Not my first choice or even in my top three, but I like the assistants if it comes to fruition.

I can live with Embree and the right staff. We need recruiting. Not coaches that give a so called schematic advantage.

It's kind of funny to me because I love the staff except for HC, OC and DC in this scenario. I think Bienemy would be better suited as HC and I'm not sold on Brown as DC. Wait and see what actually shakes out I guess.

So where is his coordinator experience?

I shouldn't say that as I don't want to sound like I am tearing him down, but anytime you mention EB that is what all the naysayers point to. I have never ever heard any one say that about Embre though.

Yes, you'll note the warm reception he's seen so far on Allbuffs. It's so unfair to Bieniemy.

There's been ample concern expressed over his lack of coordinator experience.

The reason is because of the reasons you want to see OC experience. It shows X's and O's capability. And it demonstrates the ability to organize and lead.

Embree was Passing Game Coordinator and functioned as a Co-OC for game planning at UCLA his last year when they won 10 games. That shows the X's and O's. He has also been a coach for offensive, defensive and special teams positions so you know he understands all 3 phases. That's a bonus in a HC candidate over what you'd normally get from a coordinator.

On the organize and lead front, he put together the Buffs4Life charity. He directs it still. Beyond just showing the ability to organize and lead, this also connected Embree to former players and CU boosters in a much stronger way than any other candidate.

So I don't worry about the lack of coordinator experience. The only thing he's missing is that he's never called plays, but I don't want our HC doing that anyway.

So, this staff that has been brought up. How does anyone have a clue that this staff could even be assembled? If EB isn't the HC you think he's going to be on staff?

I don't know if it's Embree or EB, AZ telling everyone doesn't mean **** to me but, if it is true, this is a weak ass hire by bohn when the program needed a boost.

Bohn sucks ass.

See this kind of success story just shows why we should do absolutely everything in this country by committee. Committees choose excellence over mediocrity every damn time.

I'm cool with the OC/RB, QB, and WR coaches.

I like Greg Brown as DC, and that he already has a year game-planning against the Pac-10.

Not really excited about the "lack" of kicking/punting experience on the ST coach position however.

As far as HC, I really don't have an opinion yet, Embree is a mystery at this point. Better than Hawk, so thats good.
