Mass email just received from Mike Bohn:

Dear CU Athletic Stakeholder,

The University of Colorado Athletic Department is proud to inform you that our search for a new head football coach has culminated with the hiring of Jon Embree to serve as our new coach. Coach Embree is a 1987 CU graduate (communications), was a standout tight end for the Buffaloes, and worked here as a former assistant coach for a decade.

We are excited to introduce Jon and his family to the Buff Nation tomorrow, Monday December 6. The day's activities will begin with a press conference to introduce our new coach, with additional events scheduled throughout the day.

I wanted to thank each of you for the many comments, thoughts and feedback that you have shared with me during the season and especially during the search process. We are most excited to have a Buff serve in this capacity and you will hear more about the incredible staff that he is going to assemble in the days ahead.

I would like to invite you to watch the press conference at 10 a.m., which will be streamed live on CUBuffs.com and will be available for you to watch for free. There will be a public reception at the Blake Street Tavern at 2 p.m. in Denver, and another public reception at 6 p.m. at the Omni Interlocken Hotel.

Please join us to welcome Coach Embree and his family back to Colorado and help us celebrate this exciting time. I trust that you know how important you are and we are so thankful for all your support. With this new hire we are optimistic for a great resurgence of CU Football under Coach Jon Embree's leadership. GO BUFFS!

FROM: Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano

SENDER: Office of the Chancellor

DATE: December 5, 2010

SUBJECT: Appointment of new CU head coach

Dear CU faculty, staff and students:

I am delighted to announce that the University of Colorado tomorrow will
name Jon Embree the 24th full-time head coach of the University of
Colorado football program.

Jon, a 1987 CU graduate (communications), a standout tight end for the
Buffaloes, and a former assistant coach here for a decade, is returning to
CU as head coach following a national search.

First, I want to congratulate Athletic Director Mike Bohn, as well as Dr.
David Clough, who chaired our search committee, and all the members of the
committee, for their fine work in selecting such a quality candidate to be
our next head coach. I believe he is the right person for the job at an
exciting and historic moment for the University.

I have followed Jon's career as a Buff, an NFL player, and a coach at the
collegiate and professional levels, and I believe his appointment marks an
exciting new chapter for CU football in the Pac-12 Conference. Jon is
committed to building a winning program, to returning CU to national
prominence, to recruiting players who embody our values of academic and
athletic achievement, and to doing all of this while representing the
finest of CU's traditions, which he knows first-hand.

Jon's hire will be formally announced at 10 a.m. Monday in a ceremony in
the club level of Folsom Field, and his contract will soon be presented to
the Board of Regents for approval. Due to space considerations, Monday's
announcement is by invitation only, but to learn more about coach Embree
and to watch live video coverage of the event tomorrow, visit
http://www.cubuffs.com.

Please join me in welcoming new CU head coach Jon Embree back home to
Boulder. Go Buffs!

Philip P. DiStefano, chancellor

:rofl2:

I made a little edit to the OP. Hope it saves others.

For the record, Mike Bohn has been known to stop by the AllBuffs Tailgate ("Sackygate" because sackman hosts and does all the work) to say hi to us.
