I didnt know much about Embree before, but now that I am listening to him, I like him, he is a completly no bull **** kind of guy I think so.

GO BUFFS!!

"At the end of the day, you'll judge me by my wins and losses." Embree is a 180 degree turn from the last guy.

I have to admit that hearing a coach talk about being judged by wins & losses is a refreshing change from the previous regime.

I have a feeling Embree will stay reserved untill his breaking point, then he will completly blow up, should be exciting

So refreshing....got me jazzed up for sure!!! ...."There are no excuses, only going out there and getting it done"....The anti-hawk quote right there

100% behind Embree as the hire. I have full confidence in him after listening to him talk today.

When asked questions he answered them. It wasn't a "well you see..." or "what you've gotta understand..." He actually answered the questions.

So after watching Embo....anybody just get that presence that there is no way in hell you'd want to piss him off/let him down...definitely had an intimidating/fierce mojo that is just what we need right now after pussyfoot hawk

It's the little things?

We should have a moritorium on all Hawk speak going forward. That douche is gone and it's time to bury all thoughts of him going forward. I loved hearing Embree talk about the tradition and how everyone is going to know about it-in the locker room and on the recruiting trail. They're going to play physical football and know who they are. Damn, is it September yet?

thought the same exact thing. no bs. he crushed it @ that presser. not w/ fancy, flowery bs words, but from the heart.

bro-mance for Cabral, EB, Embo...

Can't wait to watch presser. Talk is just talk, but I can appreciate candor vs the crap we have put up with years.

I read this from one of the twitter feeds...
buffs got a glimpse of the tradition he's bringing back when cabral took over. Things like not wearing red.

wtf?!? :wow: Please don't tell me Hawk was allowing red during practice!

Don't know about practice, but it's well known he'd let players wear red in Dal Ward. When Cabral took over, the Camera ran a story of how he kicked a D-Lineman (don't remember which one) out of Dal Ward before a meeting for wearing red.

Beatty also had a famous quote that "guys better hope they don't wear red boxers with Coach Cabral around."

Not wearing red seems outdated/unnecessary now that we're not playing Nebraska anymore

Maybe, except four of our five new division rivals (UofA, ASU, Utah, USC), have some shade of red as part of their color scheme (admit ASU is a stretch and arguably closer to purple).

So I shouldn't get my horns out? :smile2:
