Ringo on assistant coaches: Collins, Riddle, Bandison, Johnson, Prince GONE

I feel a little bad for Prince, but not the others. Sounds like the guys liked Prince. But that's coaching.

Letting Prince go does give me hope that the Kennedy deal will get done. And if that fails, maybe we try to move Kiesau back to WRs?

what about Walt Harris? We need someone in here that can recruit QBs..

Forget Kiesau. Hope he's not on the staff. No need for any Hawk hires on this staff although I'm cool with Ambrose sticking around.

I like the CO connections, but it is getting a little out of hand

I honestly think Kiesau may be staying at WR, because I'm not convinced that Bobby Kennedy is coming. Kiesau has a contract buyout, and he was a good WR coach (his resume at Cal was promising). He just got promoted too quickly and it couldn't have helped being promoted under Hawk. I think Kiesau is a good WR coach, and one day will be a good HC. However, I still want Kennedy to come to CO instead.

I echo the thoughts about Embree not hiring his brother - good. I hope Ash is retained, and I hate to say it...but I still do not like Hagan as a RB coach...timing really sucks though to tell your friend that's going through a tough time...

EB/Embo and Kies probably crossed paths back in the Pac10 while Kies was at Cal and Embo/EB were at UCLA. There might be a little familiarity there.

I wouldn't mind at all if Kiesau stayed on as WR coach. He's been a pretty good recruiter, and the offense really seemed to improve after Hawk was gone, which makes me feel better about his abilities as a coach...

I'm excited to see the Tui/Cabral recruiting combo.

Kies recruiting leaves a little to be desired lately. Rivals says he only has 1 target this cycle, a 3* QB from TX (Bellomy)

Other than that, he has landed some nice recruits:
Hirschman
Kasa
WillJeff
A. Simmons
Darden
Hansen
Simas
JFly
Celestine

And a few other kids.

would have been interesting to see a Kiesau post Hawk called game with Tyler.

i want kies at qb coach... and kennedy at wide reciever or vice versa

Why? Exactly what qualification does Kies have to be a QB coach?

Not liking this at all. Move on from the Hawk hires please.

i believe he was a qb in college but i could be wrong... and he has great rapport with players... and since you dont like hawk hires... i guess you dont like ambrose?

I wouldn't mind Kiesau at QB or WR coach. seems like he is "plan B" for either maybe?

While Kiesau was a "Hawk-hire" he wasn't a Boise State Hawk-bandwagon guy like Collins or Riddle.

He came here from Cal, and seems to have an identity separate from Hawk.

With Embree and Bieniemy running the offense, I wouldn't worry about any "leftover Hawkiness" hanging around.

And Hagan at RB coach isn't such a sore spot to me with EB there, no DH can concentrate on recruiting (of course, family comes first at this time).

He probably is plan B for a year, becasue if they can't get who they want, keisau is a decent recruiter, and we are paying him anyway for the next year. So nothing to lose-- perhaps their guy comes available next off season. And Keisau has another chance to prove himself without the burden of Hawk. So I am ok with it-- would rather Walt harris and Kennedy come in and K be gone, or have another job.

If Embro is not planning on keeping Keisau past his one year remaining on his contract, I say we part ways now. We need continuity. We need a staff that is going to try to stay together for the foreseeable future, not a one and done. Putting Keis at WR coach to have him leave after one year won't accomplish anything and I'm sure the guy is not going to stay longer then one year after being demoted. Part ways now.
