Design your own uniforms...

I really hope Embo brings back the uniforms we had.

Barney had tight threads. minus the all-white pajamas.

i don't get how some teams can pull off the all-whites but we can't. love the black pant, white jersey, gold helmet. one of the best unis in sport. Texas, OU, Penn State...can do the all-white. doesn't work for us.

Just fix the ****ing helmets and go with one of the unis from 1995-2001 and be done with it.

I could not give two turds from a rabbit about our uniforms. Honestly.

Just win.

i'd like to see CU rock the old Vegas gold helmets and pants, with black jerseys. Have the black-out, outfit for special occasions. On the road white/black looks the best, just like Kordell's miracle at Michigan outfit.

Finally, I'd like to see us have a retro-whizzer re-make from last year. I loved the Silver helmets but I think they could do up the Buffalo horns better this time. An all black outfit with a silver helmet would look sick. Of course there's always the black helmet that's been legend around here as well.

CU has the ability to have some of the sickest uniforms which to some that's not a big deal, to recruits? They like that crap.

Yeah, this. I like the 1990 jerseys, too, but kids might think the sleeve stripes are too old school. The current unis aren't that bad, though. We're the best dressed in the PAC-12 according to this guy:

From the few guys I've talked to, they are happy with the striped sleeves, and they are especially happy they got their names back.
(Team vote to remove names? no, never happened, as we all know now.)

Put the names on the back of this years' jerseys and it's perfect. No additional tweaking or changes necessary.

didn't bohn say we are keeping the home jerseys we wore this year and changing the aways to match them?

My vote is to keep the same home jerseys we had this year (90's style), but fix gold pants and helmet. If Nike must do some tweeking which you know they will, then here are some thoughts on what they can do with the away (but would prefer the old white/black combo with gold helmet):
- Do an away jersey that is the same as the home, but in silver with black lettering and numbering - and the black pants
- I could also live with a silver helmet with the black buffalo logo or the same black helmet with black buffalo logo unveiled in the 90's

OK - not too far out of the box, but at least it could allow Nike to feel good about themselves and I don't think it would look that bad. Kids would probably like them.

Ha ha, on the nike page they call it "Boulder Font".

Adding to that font is the "Boulder look":
It's a Freddy Krugger striped shirt with rainbow suspenders. Chances are that Nike's LSD-fueled designer team have already incorporated this look into a truly sick uni prototype.

The all-whites look best on teams that only have one main color (PSU, Michigan St, Nebs) because white becomes the secondary color. Since we already have two colors, the white confuses things. Plus, white and gold look lame together, and lots of gold teams would look ghey with this scheme (UCLA, Washington, Florida St).

I concur, but with 1990 lettering

should probably put this pic in the FAQ's or something, since it comes up on the board several times a year....did it happen? who did we play? (Baylor) what did they look like....etc.

the white as a primary color theory sounds good to me, Urbana.

I saw two games this year- Georgia and nubs. In the nub game, the outline of all the numbers and lettering had some light reflecting thing on them that, from where I was sitting, made it seem like i had just gotten out of the movie theater during the day. What was that? and I don't remember it being on the Georgia jerseys.

The 1990 uni's are my fave. However, I do like a uni that incorporates silver. When Mizzery would play us you'd have to look hard to see if people were Mizzery or CU fans.

I'd like to see some alternate uni's incorporating the the old throwbacks we had last season. Silver helmets, all black uni's with some gold trim. I think that would be SWEET.
