Cal game in 2011

No. We don't win unless we win. Enough of that stuff.
No we win if we don't play them because we should get the money that Cal would have to pay CU.

Get Cal out of there and get a D1 patsy in there - we need W's
I agree. We got a tough enough schedule already we need a game to get the boys confidence up and let Embree have a solid win before conference play.

Even if Cal decides not to play us and we do receive some money from it, won't we have to turn around and pay another team to come play us? Seems like a wash to me

Depends on how much Cal would have to pay. It'd cost us about 200-400k to bring in some patsy at the last minute. I would suspect Cal would have to pay a higher fee given that they were a marquee game.

This is where your assumption goes down hill. Game contracts have an out clause if conference scheduling changes...which it has for Cal. The most CU could get is expenses for last years game but it won't happen because CU is getting other games from the PAC - 10 (Like both Oregon and USC coming to Boulder). CU will have to make it up on there own.
