The first stop in January recruiting is Hawaii. CU is strongly in the mix for what may end up being the 4 highest rated prospects from the Aloha State this cycle:

OG Paulay Asiata
DE Juda Parker
DE Lake Koa Kaai
OLB KT Tuumalo

Parker is at the US Army All-America game this week and is scheduled to make an Official Visit to Colorado for the weekend of January 21st.

Embree and Cabral will be making in-home visits to Asiata, Kaai, and Tuumalo today.

Said Asiata in a new Rivals interview: "I am still uncommitted," Asiata confirmed on Monday night. "I just have my trip to Colorado and then I will make my decision after that. … I have kept Washington, Arizona and Colorado [as my finalists]. It is just those three."

"So, you want ta play in the show, brah? Well, you'd better get used to cold weather in college!"

Tui might put in more work over the next six weeks than Bandison did in five years.

All of Hawaii's greatest wear gold. Shaka!

I am a little disappointed...it's 8:09 a.m. in the islands and no word of new commitments...what are Embree and Cabral waiting for?

I'd be excited if they got just one, let alone all.

Hawk could probably have got one of them, Embree and crew have a higher bar in recruiting. I demand at least two of these for signing day, if not more. I know the time is massively working against them, but lets dare to dream bigger.

What are your guys thoughts on these 4 recruits? Are they legit all pac 12 material?

Asiata is one of the top 5 OLs in the west this cycle. He could play for anyone, imo.

Koa Kaai is definitely legit at DE. His offer list pretty much says it all.

Parker and Tuumalo are both tweeners. Parker is a DE/OLB who doesn't have ideal speed for linebacker and doesn't have ideal size for DE. But he's got great burst off the edge and could be an excellent pass rusher. Think Forrest West here. Tuumalo is a OLB/SS tweener. Probably not fast enough to play safety but needs to put on some bulk to play linebacker. Flies all over the field, though. If we ever utilize a "rover" package, he'd be perfect.

I like all 4.

Thanks nik, hopefully we land a few and get a commit from a moala, latu or lupa.

Also helps setup a bigger pipelines to the islands. Asiata and Kaai would be excellent gets.

I recall reading that Parker would be ideal for a 3-4 D. I also seem to recall that Embree wants to install a 3-4. Could be a good fit for both.

We will run with the pro style multiple looks on D. But our base set is def the 4-3z

Gonna be a 4-3 base.

Parker's the kind of guy you can zone blitz with, though, and drop him into coverage while bringing a LB. There's a lot you can do with him. Good athlete.
