New Scout article:

Palisades (Calif.) athlete Malcolm Creer is a bit of an unknown quantity in the recruiting world. Coming from a high school that doesn’t traditionally produce talent has kept him hidden. However, a great senior season and All-CIF selection have helped him burst onto the scene.
“I am still hearing from quite a few schools,” said Creer. “Washington, Idaho, Idaho State, WSU, SMU, Colorado, Houston and Cal Poly have all been in touch.”

Whatever you do, you've at least got to watch the first run he makes on this video. :wow:

1) How/why is this kid NR?

2) his highlight video is eerily similar to Ben Kelly's (as in he seems to score a TD on almost every touch)

Wow nice running. Looks fast and good size. I would love to see how he handles contact though. Except for the first run... did anyone touch him? I like that kid.

Watch the highlight video to see the Wishbone in action! Sweet!

His gpa is listed as 3.0 "Core" GPA. What does that mean? He should get at least one star for the mustache alone.

Core is essentially "overall" GPA, usually you hear that term in college. 1100 on the SAT should get him in to most places I would imagine.

What level of competition is he playing agianst? HE has great vision and moves well to get away from defenders. My only question is does he look so good because he is playing very poor opponents.

I liked the way he didn't look like he was running that hard, yet he was smoking everyone on the field. Very smooth glider.

In this case, "core" is going to apply to those courses that the NCAA will use to decide whether Creer gets through the clearinghouse. Basically, there's nothing to worry about here on the academic front.

Isnt the scoring different now as far as the SAT? I got a 1320 but it was back in the 90's.

Did you pretend to care about the current SAT format just so you could stick your score in there?

No I was just curious heard they changed it. I really dont know much about the core stuff now thats all. Btw guess Nebraska is visiting him now.

Comes to NU on the 21st. Washington is in play here as well.

Looks to me like he's going to jump at his 1st BCS offer. I'm kind of surprised that you guys are recruiting him as a RB with Aaron Green committed. Didn't think you'd take 2 this cycle. Isn't Helu the only loss from the position?

Attrition on the way. Tray Robinson is headed to Montana State and there are 2 others soon to see the door.

Only Back with ANY time from last year is Burkhead. Quite thin.

Scout and Rivals now have Creer in their databases.

Both list a Nebraska visit this weekend and Washington the next. However, neither have offered.

Scout, however, reports a new CU offer. Maybe we'll get him to cancel one of those visits and get Creer to Boulder.

I really like this guy as a big back.

Here's his new video (looks like the old one was removed). All you need to do is watch his first 2 runs to know this guy can absolutely ball. I couldn't care less how many stars the services give him.

Hopefully EB can flex his recruiting muscles on this one. Doesn't seem like we are as far behind for this kid as others.

Well he's only got reported offers from us and Idaho State so I'd say we have a good chance to land him.

The stiff arm in the second run was all I needed to see... I want to see this guy run over a CSU Rammie at the goalline for old time sake.
