Who hoists the crystal football tonight?

I think it is gonna be a lower scoring game than most think. I would like to see Oregon win, but I think Cam Newton is the difference. Pryor ran all over the Ducks last year and Newton is 5X better than Pryor.

I do think Oregon's overall speed and tempo is better than Auburn and it will be interesting to see how Auburn handles that late in the game. Auburn has played a much tougher schedule than Oregon however.

Auburn 31 Oregon 28

Auburn 37, Oregon 17

Ordinarily, I'd be all over the SEC in this one. However, historically the Heisman Trophy winner has not played particularly well in his bowl game. I think Oregon takes this in a lower scoring game. The layoff will be problematic for both teams, IMO.

Hoping for the total destruction of the quackers and a meltdown of Henderson the next day leading to his firing....but think it will be a very close game....call it 24-17 Auburn

no idea what to expect. if i had to guess, i'd say UO gets out to an early lead....quick 24-7 type lead and Auburn adjusts on D and gradually gets back into it and maybe wins it.

while i dislike UO and their fans, i'd like to see them win. i think. sometimes you don't know until the game actually starts.

Personally, I get a kick out of Oregon and their their "play it like you do on Playstation" offensive philosophy. I'm pulling for them.

As an aside, I hope it dumps a good 4-5 inches of snow when Oregon comes to Boulder next year.

Ahh pick Ahhburn....there are at least 250,000 reasons why they should be the favorite...

Well you really know after it ends.

i just mean who you are pulling for....not the winnah. like i thought i was pulling for Texas last year for conference reasons and to shut up my SEC buddies...but, once the game started i realized i hate Texas and wanted them to lose.

Going with Oregon in this one, but not really sure. I have a feeling the Ducks might suffer a lot from the extended time off but then again there are not many heisman winners lately that managed to also play well in the championship game.

I'm hoping that a Ducks win would help to increase the next Pac12 TV contract by a few more dollars..

this.

I can't imagine this one being a low-scoring game. I'll go with Auburn and the SEC. Oregon has absolutely destroyed alot of people but it'll be interesting to see how they perform against a top team away from home.

until they actually do win tonight, UO kinda reminds me of those Jason White Oklahoma teams...scored a billion on everyone, never had to play a meaningful 60 minutes or 4th quarter all season. then, against a top D (LSU and USC).....floundered.

thing is: Auburn hasn't been as tough on D as Bama and UF and other SEC BCS Champs.

Love our new conference but I hate Oregon and if they win the NC tonight we will have to deal with Henderson's BS along with the annoying Oregon fans who think college football started in 1995. I'm tired of the SEC winning the NC every year and would like to see somebody else rise up and knock them off but I'm torn in rooting for Oregon. Only positives I can see if Oregon won would be to put the SEC down a notch and possibly help out the 12 PAC TV negotiations. How much of a difference do you think Oregon winning the NC would have on future 12 PAC TV negotiations vs just losing in a close game if any? For me this game is like pick your poison.

According to another thread, Hawk is there and decked out in Oregon gear. If Hawk is backing the ducks I think it seals the deal on a Tiger win toinght.

Probably Auburn, but I'm rooting for Oregon. I'm tired of the SEC domination and it'd be nice to see our new conference, which lacks national respect, knock off the best team the SEC has to offer.

A Tiger win? The team will be swinging by Perkins after the game to shag a waitress?

I'm sick of this notion that the SEC is so dominant (although all the talk has substance). I have not watched either team but after looking at a few other predictions I will say:

Oregon - 38
Auburn - 17

It's amazing how often games like this result in something of a rout.

I think Oregon's D poses problems that Auburn has not had to face. We will see but I think the UofO speed on D keeps Cam and Auburn in check.

UofO 35
UA 24
