On ESPN right now.

KSU started off hot and holds a 14-4 lead at around the 13 minute mark in the 1st half.

We want KSU for the RPI boost. Also, Baylor's the type of team that could mentally fall apart if it keeps losing. Could set up as a conference road win for us later on if their chemistry blows up.

Weird halftime stat. Both teams had 3 assists and 10 turnovers.

That explains a lot of why it was only KSU 25-18 after the first 20 minutes.

Awful game, really.

The turnovers have been terribly careless on both sides. Offensively and defensively strange.
The officiating has also been horrible. I have counted four charging fouls that should have been blocking fouls.

Frank Martin also scares the crap out of me. I have no clue how he keeps players.

He's starting to lose some.

Whispers that some NCAA sanctions may be on the horizon, too.

K-state should be a possible road win for us. The team definitely lacks any offensive and defensive cohesiveness. If possible they have gotten worse since they played us.

...I think Frank Martin is a solid coach, and his players seem to play their hearts out for him. I haven't heard about infractions, but if so, I would expect them to be minor. Martin doesn't seem like the sleezeball that Calipari is, nor does he seem like the arrogant liar that Huggins is. I wouldn't be surprised if Huggins did some shady things.

As far as infractions go though...many have been saying that Baylor is not recruiting right...and I agree. I expect to see some sanctions on Baylor's program in the coming years. Scott Drew is not clean, which is unfortunate, because the resurrection of the Baylor program is inspiring.

You do realize that Frank Martin was banned from ever coaching high school sports in the state of Florida, right? I still see him as Huggins lite - both cut from the same cloth.

As for his history as a coach in the Big 12, he gets great results when he puts great players out on the floor (some courtesy of Huggins). With average players he's nothing special. I don't see his stay in Manhattan lasting more than another 2-3 seasons, and if I was a betting man I'd say it won't end up as a happy situation for Wildcat fans. The guy looks to be on a one way road to self-destruction.

I did not...I knew he started as a HS bball coach in Florida, but I didn't know he was banned. It's great to always learn something...and he was banned for boosters that provided housing for his players. Okay, I guess my perception as just a tough-nosed disciplinarian may have changed a little.

I thought Martin was a joke of a hire for his Florida HS past and a cynical, desperate move to keep two top 50 recruits at KSU when Huggy Bear bailed on them....classy guy, Hugs (though, i do like to watch his teams play D when he's got the right guys....long and pressure your offense away from the goal so your PG ends up trying to "start the offense" at about the time line...tough to create chances when your guards are passing it back and forth 30 ft from the basket the first 20 secs of the shot clock). However, i was pretty impressed with the job Martin did last year. So, i came 180 on FM. This year, they've been on a slide since the December suspensions. but also, despite being 2-4, their other 3 losses are on the road at OSU, MU (15), ATM (11). tough gyms and/or good teams. i think they'll rally some and get it back to .500 in League or so. i still see them as a NIT or back onto the bubble type team. they've got some good basketball left to play, i'm guessing.

but, i'll post it again: the week we play KSU and ATM at the Foam Dome will be crucial.

call me crazy but I think we beat Mizzou at home, then KSU on the road and then OSU at home. We will probably lose the next two after that.
